If the Olympic Games are a histry f mankind, wrestling (摔跤) is the prlgue (序幕). When the ancient Games f the Olympic were brn, wrestling was already an ancient game. Widely recgnized as the wrld's ldest cmpetitive sprt, wrestling appeared in a series f Egyptian wall paintings as early as 5, 000 years ag. When the ancient Olympic Games began in 776 BC, mre than tw thusand years later, it included wrestling and in the years that fllwed, wrestling featured as the main event.
The sprt wuld return in a similar rle when the Olympic Games returned after a 1, 500year absence in 1896. Organizers, seeking direct links t ancient times, fund wrestling was very ppular acrss much f the ancient wrld, frm Greece, Assyria and Babyln t India, China and Japan. GrecRman wrestling, a style which was believed t be passed dwn frm the Greek and Rman wrestlers f ld was brught back int use.
In GrecRman wrestling, the wrestlers used nly their arms and upper bdies t attack. They culd hld nly thse same parts f their ppnents (对手). It wrked nicely frm a histrical attitude, but anther cheerful and relaxing style was sweeping acrss Great Britain and the United States by then. Knwn as“catch as catch can”, it had becme ppular at fairs and festivals in bth cuntries.
In 1904, the Olympic Games added the secnd wrestling event and called it“freestyle”. Nw, wrestlers culd use their legs fr pushing, lifting and tripping, and they culd hld ppnents abve r belw the waist.
28.The first ancient Games f the Olympiad were held almst ________ years ag.

There are at least tw types f escalatr (自动扶梯) takers:walkers and standers. Walkers think that escalatrs exist t quicken their pace, while standers typically see them as mving rest stps. Walkers think standers prevent them frm mving quickly, while standers see walkers as impatient passersby wh rudely cut them ff.
The truth is, thugh, that the general purpse f escalatrs is t direct and ease the flw f pedestrian traffic, nt t speed ur pace up r t enable laziness r inactivity. S the questin whether it's the walkers r the standers wh are in the right actually is nt just a subjective matter f preference. Science can weigh in.
A 2013 study shwed that 74.9 percent f pedestrians chse t stand n the escalatr instead f walking. This is imprtant because we need t cnsider the way that mst peple are chsing t mve naturally when weighing efficiency.
Mrever, studies have als shwn that smene standing needs, n average, a little ver three square feet f space t feel psychlgically cmfrtable, whereas a walking pedestrian needs mre than eight square feet. What this means is that, frm a strictly psychlgical pint f view, an escalatr can cmfrtably hld mre than twice the number f standing pedestrians as walking pedestrians.
Finally, planners fr Lndn's public transit system recently fund that by starting a “standing nly” plicy n their escalatrs, they were able t get a 27 percent increase in the hurly capacity (容量). These results were cmpared against a mdel where bth walkers and standers were given lanes n which they can mve accrding t their preference.
This might sund cntrary t cmmn sense fr the very reasn that walkers can mve faster n the escalatr than standers, and s allwing at least sme peple t walk might seem t make sense. But f curse, nt all walkers mve at the same pace, and this incnsistency causes traffic t build up in disrderly ways, which slws everyne dwn. Hwever, when yu have the escalatr alne t yurself, walking is certainly mre efficient in this case. When thers are present, thugh, it's best fr everyne if yu just stand and be patient.
    32.Paragraph 1 is mainly abut ________.
    A.the functins f escalatrs B.different ways t take escalatrs
C.impatient peple n escalatrs D.peple's dissatisfactin with escalatrs
33.What des the underlined wrd “This” in Paragraph 3 refer t?
A.Knwing the majr preference. B.Making a right chice.
    C.Weighing efficiency. D.Cunting numbers.
34.What des the authr think f the “standing nly” plicy?
    A.Unreasnable. B.Significant. C.Impractical. D.Cntrversial.
35.What is the main purpse f this text?
A.T prve the cnvenience f escalatrs.
B.T shw hw escalatrs ease pedestrian traffic.
C.T tell the difference between standers and walkers.
D.T explain why we shuld stand n the escalatr.

根据Dead Pets Sciety (1989)部分中的“rather than just wasting hurs, challenge the schl's strict rules, and truly be themselves.”
根据Frrest Gump (1994)部分中的“It's abut a man wh has lw IQ but manages t be part f many imprtant mments in mdern histry, able t achieve a lt, and even given a Medal f Hnr fr his bravery.

After all,a female has nt raced in F1 fr nearly 30 years, and just five wmen have taken part in a grand prix (大奖赛).

In 1904,the Olympic Games added the secnd wrestling event and called it “freestyle”.
