    Warm-up

     

    1. Teacher leads students to read the title of Unit 3 and askWhat is this unit about?  Olympic motto---sports
    2. Teacher plays the video about Olympics and asks students to watch and find the answers to two questions.
    3. Teacher asks students to look at a picture of a sportsman and discuss about his namesport and position.

    4. Students talk about positions on a basketball court. Teacher offers the five positions in English on blackboard and lead students to match them with the definition in Exercise 1.

    1. Teacher asks students to look at the pictures and the title on page 26-27 and guess the content of the passage.
    2. Teacher guides students to analyze the titleThe Road to Success. Is this road smooth? What obstacles are probably there on the road?

    Teacher encourages students to predict the authors purpose in writing the passage.
