    教材分析
    新版《牛津英语5A》含有一些较长语篇,阅读量逐渐加大,需要老师进行“语篇教学”并为学生打开一道阅读的大门,培养他们好阅读的好习惯。本节课的内容就是学习一篇带有情景的语篇:由主持人去采访三个家庭,询问“在地球一小时这段时间里他们通常做的事情和现在正在做的事情”,对话的加入目的在于提高趣味性的同时培养学生的阅读能力。在所加的对话情景中涉及到“一般现在时”和“现在进行时”,尤其是需要提醒学生注意句中的关键词usually和now所引导的不同时态,要求学生能够理解并正确使用。 本节课含有大量的词组,尤其是一些动词词组,要求学生能够在句子中正确朗读并在生活中灵活应用。 《新课程标准》要求教师在教学时要面向全体,要为学生营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围,同时也要关注学生的情感,由于本节课是围绕“Earth Hour”地球一小时,要让学生除了了解节能的理念、拥有环保意识以外,也要培养学生热爱家园、热爱地球的情感。

    学情分析
    本教材授课对象是五年级的学生,此阶段是小学生学习英语的提升和深化阶段,这一阶段的任务在于激发并保持学生学习英语的兴趣、增强自信心和求知欲,初步形成用英语与他人交流的能力,树立团队意识和乐于接受优秀文化的开放意识。针对学生的这一特点,本课所有的设计都是以激发学习兴趣为基础,以知识的应用扩展为目的。学生被要求对知识进行一定的理解和创新,并将所学知识应用到实际生活中。
    教学目标
    知识目标:
    1.学生能够掌握本单元的核心词汇并能正确运用本单元的核心词汇:their, light, before, bedtime, turn off, watch TV, tell a story, do... homework.
    2. 通过Say and act的情景对话,进一步巩固新学的词汇和句型。
    技能目标:
    1. 使学生能够抓住关键词usually和now,正确区分和使用“一般现在时”和“现在进行时”。
    2.通过各种课堂活动,培养学生的听力、口语、阅读和写作能力。
    情感目标:
    1.了解“地球一小时”的相关内容,使学生节约资源,提高自身的环保意识,热爱保护地球家园。
    2.激发学生的英语学习兴趣,提高学生的自信心,使学生在学习中敢于开口说英语,乐于开口说英语。
    3.在小组内进行各种活动,培养学生的合作意识,体验英语学习的快乐。
    学习策略:
    1.通过小组合作学习,培养学生积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务的能力。
    2.通过大量图片和flash模拟真实的情境,帮着学生理解。
    3.在设计课堂听原音模仿环节中,培养学生语音语调。
    4.借助联想和自然拼读方法来学习和记忆单词。
    文化意识:
    通过学习让学生了解地球一小时的相关知识,关注气候变化。

    教学基本策略及设计思路
    1.面向全体学生,关注语言学习者的不同特点和个体差异。在操练环节中,教师通过让学生听音并模仿,来培养学生的语音语调,让每个学生都能感受到自身的提高,有成就感。
    2. 在单词、句型的学习环节中,我先让学生们整体感知语言材料。从语篇直接切入教学,让学生整体感知话题情境,用情景会话语篇中自然习得的语言进行滚动,形成新的小短文,从而强调语言的拓展和运用。
    3.在整个教学过程中,教师始终以小组合作学习为主,让每个学生都参与其中,成为课堂的主人。整体设计目标,充分考虑语言学习的语用环境。
    4.强调学习过程,重视语言学习的实践性和应用性。教师在整个教学中,设置真实的语境,主张学生在语境中接触、体验和理解真实语言,并在此基础上学习和运用语言。形成有效的学习策略,发展自主学习能力。
    资源的开发及说明
    本节课我充分挖掘教材内容,让学生体会到知识的融会贯通及在生活中的应用。在整个的教学活动设计中,我注重对学生语音语调的培养,让学生在多听的基础上,强调输出质量。在教学中我还利用视频CD-ROM、展台等现代化的教学手段为学生创设真实的情境,让学生在真实的情境中学习和使用英语,体现英语的工具性和人文性,通过直观的教具,复习巩固学生的知识体系,通过小组内合作问答与表演,培养学生分工合作意识,同时培养学生的表达能力和对知识的运用能力。

    T: What do you know about the Earth Hour? Do you know the time and on that day what do people usually do? Now, first let’s look at the time. When’s the Earth Hour?
    T: Look at the calendar. Do you know when’s the Earth Hour this year?
    T: What do people do on that day? Do you know the activity?
    T:Boys and girls, look our home the Earth is in great danger. We should protect the Earth. We should help it. And the Earth Hour is an activity for us to show our actions. So everybody, do you want to join in the Earth Hour?
    T:Today,I’ll introduce my friend to you. Look, she’s a reporter. Her name is Helen. Let’s say hello to Helen. She’s working now. Do you want to know what’s she talking about?
    T plays the tape.
    T:Can you guess the meaning of turn off?
    T: In our daily life, we usually see the buttons of lights, if we press this button. It means turn off and this button it means turn on.
    T shows some pictures and students practice the phrase turn off.
    T: Today, there are three families. They also want to join in the Earth Hour. Let’s watch a video and think whose families are these?
