Unit 2 In England, you usually drink tea with milk.

一、教学目标

1. 掌握词汇：experience, stay, someone, for the first time, sandwich, gentleman, shoulder

2. 掌握句型：

(1) For example, you must say Mr or Mrs when you meet someone for the first time.

(2) You can buy it and eat it in special fish and chip shops on the high street, or you can take

it away and eat it with your fingers!

(3) At the bus stop you must not push your way onto the bus.

3. 学习和运用表达“民俗风情”的词汇及情态动词。

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up

1. T shows some pictures about Chinese traditions and asks the Ss to watch and talk about them.

2. T shows some Chinese traditions and asks Ss to read.

Step 2 Pre-reading

1. T shows some pictures one by one and asks the class to watch and read the new words.

【设计意图】通过看图片学单词，帮助学生理解和记忆新单词。

2. Ss work in pairs and talk about what they can see in the pictures.

Step 3 While-reading

1. Ss read the passage quickly and try to find the answers to the question “Which sentences describe what you can see in the pictures in Activity 1?”

2. T asks Ss to read Paragraphs 1 and 2, then do the tasks.

3. T asks the class to read Paragraphs 3 and 4, then answer the questions.

4. Ss read Paragraph 5 and fill in the blanks.

5. T asks Ss to read the whole passage and choose the correct answer.

Step 4 Post-reading

1. Fill in the blanks and try to retell the passage.

2. Learn the language points.

句中的stay表示“停留，逗留”，是一个名词。

must表示必须做某事，书中这句话译为初次与人见面时，必须称呼对方“先生”或“女士”。

(3) At the bus stop you must not push your way onto the bus.

must not表示不能做某事，不准做某事。这句话译为在公交站，你不能挤着上车。

(4) You can buy it and eat it in special fish and chip shops on the high street, or you can take it away and eat it with your fingers!

can 表示可以做某事，这句话译为你可以在大街上专卖炸鱼加薯条的商店购买并在店里食用，也可以带走，直接用手拿着吃。
