Step 1 Warm-up

1. Brainstorming—Spring Festival

设计意图：通过主题为春节的头脑风暴活动复习巩固上一课时所学重要词汇和现在进行时的使用，同时活跃课堂气氛，调动学生的学习热情。

Step 2 Pre-reading

Activity 1

1. T lets Ss work in pairs, looking at the pictures and talking about what’s happening.

2. T invites some pairs to present their conversations in front of the class.

Step 3 While-reading

Activity 2

1. T tells Ss to read the three paragraphs and then match the pictures with the paragraphs.

2. Ss read the passage and answer the questions.

3. Ss read again and complete the table.

Step 4 Post-reading

Fill in the blanks and try to retell the passage.

Activity 3

1. Ss read the passage individually and talk about what is missing in pairs.

Language points
