Chice f seating in the lecture hall can influence a cllege student's grades, a study suggests.
Lectures are imprtant in higher educatin. Researchers frm Sheffield Hallam University in the UK examined students' reasns fr chsing particular seats in a lecture hall, and studied hw seating psitins influence student perfrmance.
“Interactin(互动)is a key part f learning and knwing wh the students are interacting with can be a great benefit when designing activities,”said David P Smith f Sheffield Hallam University.
Many students preferred being able t sit with their friends, while thers were mre cncerned with either attracting r aviding the lecturer's attentin. Sme students chse seats that allwed them t see and hear clearly, while thers picked seats that are easy fr them t leave and that make them feel less anxius, researchers said.
