    Nt all students knw hw t prepare fr exams. 1 . With teachers’ help, students can prepare fr exams much better, thus ding better in exams. Here are sme ways that teachers can use t help students prepare fr exams.
    2 . With lwer-grade students, create a list f tpics that they need t study. Higher-grade students can still benefit frm a list, even if it’s a list f all the tpics they’ve studied that year. That’s because a list gives them smething t check ff. Thrughut yur review time, encurage students t mark their tpic list, crssing ff things that they already knw and highlighting r putting a star beside things they need t study.
    3 . Dn’t just stand in frnt f the class and try t review everything. Instead, students shuld be the nes lking up things in their ntes and trying t remember hw t slve prblems. The mre actively invlved the students are, the mre fcused they will be, and the mre they will remember.
    Have students write quizzes(小测试) fr each ther. When students write their wn quiz questins, they invlve mre deeply in the material. 4 . After that, have them exchange with anther student and take each ther’s quiz. Finally they are t grade the quiz they wrte and discuss any wrng answers with the student wh tk their quiz.
    Give students a practice exam. 5 . Usually n the last review day, I will give a practice exam—a shrt, ungraded test that has similar questins as what will be tested in the exam. We then g ver it during the secnd half f the class. It’s really helpful.
