    定语: 修饰名词或代词的成分,用来说明名词或代词的品质与特征。1.定语主要有形容词,名词,介词短语,非谓语,句子;常译为“……的”2.在所修饰词之前的定语叫前置定语,在所修饰词之后的定语叫后置定语。3. 单个的词作定语时要放于被修饰词的前面,短语或从句作定语时要放于被修饰词的后面。

    定语从句:在复合句中,修饰某一名词或代词的从句,其作用相当于形容词。(即:充当定语的从句)先行词:被定语从句修饰的名词或代词。关系词:引导定语从句的词。(引导词)

    定 语 从 句 的 关 系 词
    引导定语从句。代替先行词。在定语从句中担当一个成分。

    关系代词的用法1.关系代词whThe number f peple wh were killed in the disaster was ver 100.He is the athlete (wh) I met yesterday.
    总结:关系代词wh指人,在定语从句中作主语或宾语。
    2.关系代词whmThe by (whm) the teacher ften praises is their mnitr.The girl (whm) the sldier rescued yesterday is Jhn’s sister. The man with whm yu talked just nw is my captain.
    总结:(1)关系代词whm指人,在定语从句中作宾语,常可省略,也可用wh/that来代替。(2)在从句中作介词的宾语且直接跟在介词后时,用whm,不用wh或that。
    3.关系代词whichThere were buildings which had been destryed by the earthquake.The gld medal (which) she wn has been given t her ld schl.
    总结:关系代词which指物,在定语从句中作主语或宾语,作宾语时可省略。
    4.关系代词thatYesterday I read an article that was abut natural disasters.D yu knw the girl that is talking with ur teacher?The wman (that) I read abut in the newspaper has just wn a gld medal.The reprt (that) Mr Turner handed in was abut the mtr race.
    总结:that既可以指人,相当于wh或whm;也可以指物,相当于which。在定语从句中作主语或宾语,作宾语时可省略。
    5.关系代词whseThis is the by whse parents were killed in the great earthquake.The classrm whse dr is brken can hld 40 students.
    总结:关系代词whse通常指人的,也可指物的,(表示某人的,某物的,先行词和whse后的名词是所属关系)在定语从句中作定语。
    1. 当先行词是all, (a) little, (a) few, much, smething, anything,everything, nthing. sme等不定代词或者被all, any, much, few, little, n等词修饰时。

    在下列情况下,关系词用that而不用which。
    2. 当先行词是序数词、形容词最高级或被序数词、形容词最高级修饰时。

    After the fire in his huse, the ld car is the nly thing that he wned.
    3. 当先行词被the very/nly/same/last 修饰时:

    5. 当先行词既有人,又有物时:
    在下列情况下,关系词只能用which。
    1. 介词前置时,关系代词只能用which:
    I attend such activities regularly, frm which I benefit a lt.
    Bruce desn’t listen t any advice, which makes his mther very annyed.
    2. 引导非限制性定语从句修饰某物或整个句子时,只能用which
    在下列情况下,关系词宜用wh不宜用that。
    (1)当先行词是I, yu, he, they等人称代词或指人的不定代词, 如ne, nes, anyne时。 Anyne wh des that must be mad. He wh desn’t reach the Great Wall is nt a true man. 不到长城非好汉。(2)当先行词为指人的thse时。 Thse wh have gd manners will be highly respected.

    定 语 从 句的 谓 语 动 词
    定语从句的谓语动词的形式The suitcase which lies n the grund is hers.
    总结1:关系代词在定语从句中作主语时,定语从句的谓语动词要和先行词的数保持一致。
    定语从句的谓语动词的形式This is ne f the bks which were written by Charles Dickens. 这是查尔斯·狄更斯所写的书的其中一本。
    总结2:“ne f+复数名词”作先行词,谓语动词用复数形式;
    定语从句的谓语动词的形式He is the nly ne f the bys in ur class wh has learned French. 他是我们班男生中唯一一个学过法语的。
    总结3:“the nly ne f+复数名词”作先行词,谓语动词用单数形式。
