    You may hear about earthquakes, but do you know what to do before, during and after an earthquake? Here is some advice for you:
    Before an earthquake. It is necessary to prepare yourself and your family. All family members should know how to turn off gas, water and electricity (电) and know useful telephone numbers (doctor, hospital, police and 119 etc.). Never put heavy things over beds.

    Most of us believe that our parents will always be there for us. But this is not the case for “left-behind” children (留守儿童). Their parents work in cities, leaving them behind in the countryside to be cared for by their grandparents.
    As of August, China had 6.97 million left-behind children, accounting for (占据) about ⅓ of all rural (农村的) children. With Spring Festival arriving, Ministry of Civil Affairs is calling on migrant (外出打工的民工) parents to return home and celebrate the new year with their kids.
