Step 1: Warm-up & Revisin & Lead-in①
1. Greetings.
2. Cmplete the task.
Ask students t read the whle Recycle unit quickly and cmplete the task n the PPT. Then check the answers tgether.
T: There are ten ptins. Please chse the right ptin fr each day. There are tw chices that are redundant.
3. Enjy a chant.
Enjy the chant in Part A f Unit 4 in Grade 4. (课件出示:四年级下册教材P39 Let’s chant的相关内容)
Let’s students chant tgether with the teacher.
4. Lead-in.
Present a picture f a beautiful farm. (课件出示:一张漂亮的农场图片)
T: Welcme t the beautiful farm. I hpe yu can have a gd time here! Are yu ready t g?
Ss: Yes.
T: Let’s g!
◆ Teaching purpse①
整个复习部分是一个整体,所以先让学生构建整体情景框架,基于整体情景构建文字意义,再进入各部分教学。
Step 2: Presentatin
1. Watch and say.
(1)Shw the picture f Day 1 n the PPT. (课件出示:Day 1的图片, 无文字)
Let students bserve it carefully and then answer Mike’s questin: What else can yu see?
T: Mike had an 8-day hliday n a farm. He welcmed us with a questin. Please lk at the picture carefully and try t answer his questin.
(2)Ask students t stand up in pairs. Ask and answer with each ther. ②
Make a mdel with ne student first:
T: What can yu see n the farm?
S1: I can see sme apples.
T: What clur are they?
S1: They are red.
T: What else can yu see?
S1: I can see a pear.
Ask students t chse the right wrd card when he/she talks abut the fruit. Put it n the blackbard.
Keep asking and answering, until they find ut all the wrd cards in this part and put them n the blackbard.
Lead students t read all the wrds fr several times.
(3)Game: Quick respnse.
Present the picture f Day 1. (课件出示:Day 1的图片及填空练习)
Divide students int three grups. Grup One is “a” grup. Grup Tw is “an” grup. Grup Three is “sme” grup. Find the items that belng t their grups. Then, when the teacher pints t an item, the right grup that belngs t the item shuld stand up as sn as pssible. And they read the wrd with “a/an/sme” in the frnt fr three times.
Make a mdel:
T: If I pint t the pear, which grup shuld stand up?
“A” grup: We shuld stand up.
T: S, yu shuld say “a pear”. Read “a pear” fr three times.
“A” grup: A pear, a pear, a pear.
T: Gd jb!
(4) After the game, let students finish the first exercise n P42 by themselves.
Check the answers tgether. The teacher can give sme explanatins if students have prblems with “a” “an” and “sme”. Present the summary f the usages f “a” “an” and “sme”. (课件出示:Day 1第一部分的答案及a, an和sme的用法小结)
2. Classify the wrds.
Present the chart f the secnd exercise n P42(出示课件)Ask students t bserve the chart first. Then students try t name the next fur grups f wrds as the example f the first grup.
T: Lk at the chart. We can name “apple” and “range” as “Fruit”, and we can name “egg” and “cake” as “Fd”. S, what abut the ther grups? Can yu name the grups f these wrds?
After that, let students add mre wrds int each grup.
The teacher can give sme examples.
T: We can add sme wrds int each grup. We can add “pear” int the grup f “Fruit”. We can add “bread” int the grup f “Fd”. We can add “shirt” int the grup f “Clthes”. Nw try by yurselves.
At last, let students try t add ne mre wrd grup.
T: We can als add mre grups. Fr example, we can add a grup f “Clur”. We can write the wrds abut clurs in this grup. They are “red” “black” “white” “pink” “range” and s n. Can yu think f mre wrd grups?
Shw the answers tgether. (出示课件) Encurage students t add mre grups and wrds.

Step 3: Practice③
1. Game: Beat the drum t pass the flwer.
The teacher beats the drum withut lking at students. Students pass the flwer with the rhythm f the drum. When the teacher stps drumming, the student wh hlds the flwer shuld read the wrd which the teacher pints t.
The teacher checks the prnunciatin and tries t crrect immediately when students make mistakes.
2. Grup wrk.
Divide students int six grups. Each grup has a certain name, such as “Fruit” “Fd” “Clthes” “Animal” and s n.
Students in the grup shuld stand up ne by ne and say ne wrd that belngs t their grup when the teacher calls the grup name.
The grup which des a gd jb can get three apples.

1. Listen and fill in the blanks.
Present the supplementary listening exercises and materials. Let students listen and fill in the blanks. And check the answers tgether. (课件出示:补充的听力练习及答案)
2. Oral English activities.
Accrding t the supplementary listening materials, students try t make a dialgue abut Mike’s interview with the wner f the farm with the partner. They can make the dialgue like this:
S1: Nice t meet yu, Mr White.
S2: Nice t meet yu, Mike.
S1: Can yu tell me abut yur farm?
S2: Sure, we came here ten years ag.
S1: What animals did yu have at that time?
S2: We nly had ne hrse and tw pigs.
