Do you think they are serious or not? Ss discuss with their partners and give some advice. T encourages Ss to show their opinions. 读1a语句，说出对这些问题严重性的看法。通过讨论，进一步了解学生遇到的问题。 Step 3 While-listening Work on 1b. Listen and circle the problems you hear in 1a. Then check the answers with the Ss. Listen again and try to fill in the blanks. T gets the students to list the ways to advice. Work on 1c. Look at the problems in 1a and make conversations. T shows the pictures in Activity 2a and asks:What’s wrong with the boy? what should he do? T lets Ss read the sentences in 2a. Then plays the recording and asks Ss to listen. Ss try to fill in the blanks with could or should. T checks the answers. Go through 2b,T lets Ss read the sentences below.Then explain some main sentences for the Ss. make sure Ss know the meaning of each sentence. T plays the recording for the Ss to write the letters (a-e) next to the advice in 2a. T plays the recording again and checks the answers. T asks some pairs to act out their conversations. Role-play. Ss read the conversations in 2d and try to understand the meaning. T explains some new words and main points in the conversation. T asks Ss to read the conversation and answer the questions. What’s wrong with Kim? What’s Dave’s advice? Will Kim tell her sister to say sorry at last? T may let some pairs to act out the conversation. Talk and think! What should we do after we had a fight with our friends? send a message to say sorry. call her/him up to say sorry. write a letter to apologize. talk to him/her. wait until he/she says sorry.
