    Step 1 Lead-in
    Free talk.
    T: Hell, bys and girls, lk at the subjects n the screen! Which are yu interested in?
    T: If yu want t learn mre abut it, what can yu d?
    S1: I can ask my Science teacher fr mre infrmatin.
    S2: I can lk fr mre infrmatin n the Internet.
    S3: I can g t the library t learn mre.
    T: Yes. A library is a useful place t find infrmatin. And there are many famus libraries in the wrld. Lk, this is the largest library in the wrld. It is in the USA. D yu knw the largest ne in China? It is in Beijing and it’s als the largest in Asia.
    T: This is Harvard Library—the ldest ne in the USA. It is ften full f students. Hw hard-wrking they are! We shuld learn frm them, right? S tday we will learn hw t use a library.

    Step 2 Presentatin
    1. Hw t use a library.
    T: D yu want t find the bk quickly and crrectly in a library?
    S: Yes, f curse.
    T: S please remember this tip. Bks abut different subjects are put in different sectins. Bks abut similar tpics are put in the same area.
    T: Lk, there are many subjects r tpics in the library. D yu knw these?
    S: Yes.
    T: Can yu think f ther subjects?
    S: Art/Cmputer/Travel/Gegraphy/Bilgy/Math/Cking.

    Step 3 Practice
    Write the titles f the bks in the crrect sectins.

    Step 4 Presentatin
    1. Nvels: in alphabetical rder accrding t the authrs’ surnames.
    T: The Cat Ges Shpping and Rnnie Ges int Space are nvels. D yu like reading nvels? Fr example, Harry Ptter. It is a very ppular nvel. Its authr, that is its writer, is J. K. Rwling.
    T: There are lts f interesting and famus nvels in the library. And the nvels are put in the alphabetical rder f the authr’s surnames.
    2. Put the nvels in the crrect rder.
    T: Lk, here are sme bks and their authrs. Can yu help t put them in the crrect rder?
    a. Harry Ptter’s authr is J. K. Rwling.
    b. Gne with the Wind’s authr is Margaret Mitchell.
    c. The Old Man and the Sea’s authr is Ernest Hemingway.
    d. Wh Mved My Cheese’s authr is Spencer Jhnsn.
    e. The Last Leaf’s authr is O. Henry.

    T: Yes. Librarians are there t help yu. If yu have any questins, turn t them fr help.

    1. Be a plite library user.
    T: Yu’ve learnt hw t use the library, but remember yu shuld be a plite library user. What can’t we d in the library?

    S2: We shuldn’t shut in it.
    S3: We can’t get the bks dirty r brken.
    T: Gd jb! Nw tell me whether the fllwing behaviurs are wrng r right.

    (2) Be plite t the librarians there.
    (3) Mr Li smkes in it.
    (4) Tm sees his classmate and shuts t him.
    (5) Ann talks ludly and happily with her friend.
    (6) Underline the beautiful sentences in the bk.
    (7) Keep the mbile ff r set it t mute mde.
    T: Well dne! Always remember: keep quiet in the library!

    Task 2: Find bks abut American histry.
    Task 3: Find bks abut cuntry music.
    Task 4: Find bks abut English grammar.
    Task 5: Find bks abut cmputers.
    Task 6: Find bks by Jack Lndn.
    Task 7: Find bks abut Olympics.
    Task 8: Find bks abut butterflies.
    Check students’ wrk and make sure everyne has learnt hw t use the library.
