    Let’s try to speak English as much as possible.

    Why not write down the mistakes in our notebooks?

    And don’t forget to write down the correct answers next to the mistakes.

    You don’t need to understand every word.

    Ability objectives

    ①Be able to understand the dialogue about the methods and suggestions of learning English.

    ②Be able to use vocabulary and phrases correctly in this unit.

    Emotional objectives

    ①Let students actively participate in communicative activities and speak English boldly.

    ②Gradually grasp the appropriateness of the language in the process of learning how to make suggestions.

    教学重点

    Students can talk about learning English and put forward their own suggestions.

    教学难点

    Students can use the vocabulary and sentence patterns learned in this unit to talk about difficulties in English learning and provide suggestions.

    教学过程

    1.Lead-in

    ①Teacher asks students to answer the questions.

    ②Students talk with their partners and teacher asks some students to show their answers.

    2.Presentation

    Task 1 New words

    ①Teacher asks students to read the instructions and check( √ ) the ones they understand.

    ②Teacher asks students to listen and answer the questions. Use the words and expressions in the box.

    ③Organize the students to read the new words together.

    Task 2 Listening

    ①Play the tape and ask students to write notes about learning English.

    ②Ask students to skim the conversation and then check the answer.

    ③Organize the students to read the conversation with the recording.

    ④Ask students to underline the correct words and expressions.

    ⑤Ask students to enjoy the video and pay more attention to the stress and intonation.

    ⑥Ask students to listen and mark the intonation.

    ⑦Teacher sums up the rules related to intonation.

    Task 3 Notes

    ①Organize students to come to the blackboard and show out some difficult language points that they found.

    ②Teacher explains the language points.

    Task 4 Sentences

    ①Teacher shows the important sentences.

    ②Ask the students to read through the sentences.

    3.Practice

    ①Ask students to work in pairs and talk about problems in learning English and give advice.

    This course guides students to acquire information through listening and develop their listening skills. In this class, multimedia means are used to assist teaching.
