    设计说明
    在本课时的开始,给学生展示一些他们非常熟悉的初中生活照片,并由问题“What memories do you have at junior high school?”开启本课之旅。朗读短诗,回忆初中生活的同时,提升学生的朗读韵律感,让学生结合自己的初中学生生活,对本单元的功能句型反复训练。复习巩固前面学习的一般过去时、现在完成时、一般将来时、宾语从句、used to、look forward to等的用法。通过排序任务提升学生的逻辑思维能力;通过让学生回答问题,训练学生的书面表达能力。最后,通过当堂达标,学生可自我检验学习情况,以便查漏补缺。
    教学目标
    通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标:
    1. 知识目标
    (1)单词:overcome, graduate, caring, ours, senior, text, level
    (2)短语:look back at, make a mess, keep one’s cool, senior high (school), go by, used to, look forward to
    (3)句型:①特殊疑问句
    ②宾语从句
    2. 能力目标
    (1) 能理解英文诗I Remember的内容并流利地朗读;
    (2) 能掌握和运用新学的知识点;
    (3) 熟练掌握特殊疑问句和宾语从句的结构,正确使用一般现在时、一般过
    去时、一般将来时和现成完成时等主要时态。
    3. 情感目标
    感恩初中生活,感恩老师的教诲和同学的帮助。

    重点:英文诗的朗读;本单元重点语法的掌握
    难点:各时态在具体语言环境中的使用;宾语从句的特点以及used to和look forward to的正确使用

    教学过程
    Step 1 Lead-in
    Show some pictures to the class.


    T: What memories do you have at junior high school?
    S: I remember…
    Step 2 Reading
    Work on 3a.
    1. Ask the students to close their books and just listen to the recording of the passage.
    2. Read the passage and answer the questions.
    1. What kind of writing is this?
    2. What is the main subject of this writing?
    3. Who do you think the writer is?
    3. Check the answers.
    Answers: 1. This is a poem.
    2. The main subject is the writer’s memories of school over the last three years.
    3. The writer is a student who is just about to graduate.
    4. Read the passage and then ask some students to read it to the class.
    Work on 3b.
    Read the poem again. Write the words that rhyme with the words below.

    1. Show the example to the class.

    1. Show the following questions to the class. And ask them if they have experienced some of the following things and how they felt.

    5. slowly making some new friends
    6. helping classmates with homework
    7. preparing for art festivals
    8. going to New Year’s parties
    9. learning English
    2. In pairs, get the students to discuss what the writer’s feelings were with regard to these various events.
    3. Check answers.
    Possible Answers: 1. It was a struggle to be on time for morning readings.
    2. He/She was hungry so he/she rushed to the dining hall when the bell rang.
    3. He/She was excited about training and proud when he/she overcame his/her fears.
    4. He/She was shy when starting his/her first day in Grade 7.
    5. He/She felt it was a little difficult to make friends.
    6. He/She was happy helping classmates with homework.
    7. He/She enjoyed preparing for art festivals and making a great big mess.
    8. He/She had fun at New Year’s parties.
    9. There were many challenges that the writer and his/her friends had to work hard to understand.
    Step 3 Language points
    1. pride用作不可数名词,意为“骄傲,自豪”。
    take pride in对……感到自豪;以……为荣
    the pride of ……的骄傲
    He showed us his new house with great pride. 他非常骄傲地给我们看他的新家。
    We will take pride in your success. 我们将为你的成功感到自豪。
    2. prepare for 意为“为……做准备”。
    prepare此处用作不及物动词,意为“使(自己)有准备”,其名词形式为 preparation,意为“准备;预备”。
    Life is full of challenges. We should hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
    生活充满挑战,我们应该怀有最好的希望,做最坏的准备。
    [拓展] prepare还可用作及物动词,意为“准备”,常见用法有:
    (1) prepare sth.意为“准备某物”,prepare其后常接名词或代词作宾语,表示准备的内容。
    Our teacher is preparing the lessons. 我们的老师正在备课。
    (2) prepare to do sth.意为“准备做某事”。
    Taking out a piece of paper, he prepared to write to his parents.
    他拿出一张纸,准备给他的父母写信。
    3. ours 名词性物主代词,意为“我们的”,可在句中作主语、表语或宾语。
    That red car is ours.那辆红色的小汽车是我们的。
    [拓展] 名词性物主代词在句中独立使用,其后不接名词,它相当于“形容词性物主代词+名词”。
    This bike is mine. = This is my bike. 这是我的自行车。

    特殊疑问句的结构
    (1)特殊疑问句一般用倒装结构:疑问词+助动词+主语+动词原形+其他?
    Why did you go there yesterday? 你昨天为什么去了那里?
    (2)陈述语序:疑问词+谓语+宾语/状语?
    What made you so happy? 什么让你如此开心?
    [注意] 疑问代词位于句首用作主语或用作修饰主语的定语时,特殊疑问句用陈述语序。
    宾语从句的时态
    如果主句为一般现在时,从句时态可根据具体情况来确定;如果主句为一般过去时,从句通常要用相应的表示过去的某种时态。
    口诀助记:
    主句若为现在时,从句时态随句意;
    主句若为过去时,从句时态变过去。
    Step 5 Practice
    Work on 4a.
    1. Number the sentences to make a paragraph.
