    一 词形词块拓展

    normal adj. 正常的 normally 正常地

    suggest v. 建议 suggestion n. 建议,提议

       suggest doing sth. 建议做某事   give sb. suggestions 给予某人建议

    center n.中心,中央 central adj. 中心的;中央的

    fascinate v. 使....入迷 fascinating adj.迷人的,极有吸引力的

    expensive adj. 昂贵的 inexpensive adj. 不昂贵的

    crowd v.挤满 n. 人群,观众 crowded adj.拥挤的 uncrowded adj.不拥挤的,人少的

    convenient adj. 便利的,方便的 convenience n. 方便,便利,适宜,省事

      It's convenient for sb. to do sth. 对某人来说做某事是便利的

      sth. is convenient to/for sb. 对某人来说做某事是便利的

    polite adj. impolite adj.不礼貌的,粗鲁的 politely adv. 礼貌地,客气地

    sound impolite 听起来不礼貌

    direct adj. 直接的,直率的directly adv. 径直地;直接地direction n. 方向,方位

    director n.导演,部门负责人   sense of direction 方向感

    speak v. spoke (过去式)spoken (过去分词)speaker 发言者n.讲话,发言speech

    二、重点短语 Section A

    怎样到达书店how to get to the bookstore            在银行旁边 beside the bank

    在某人的左边/右边 on ones left/ right               左拐/右拐 turn left/ turn right                

    ..........之间  between.....and.....                对做某事感到兴奋  be excited to do sth.

    附近的意大利餐厅the Italian restaurant nearby     大声喊的确管用 Shouting did help.

    早点来找到一个位置 come a little earlier to get a table

    沿着......go/ walk along=go/ walk down/=go /walk up

    它提供美味的食物 It serves delicious food.

    抱歉,对不起,什么,请再说一遍 pardon me

    beg ones pardon 请原谅,对不起             pardon sb. for doing sth. 原谅某人做某事

    获得一些关于这个镇的信息 get some information about the town

    ....的拐角  the corner of....                  一个吃饭的好地方 a good place to eat

    告诉某人做某事  tell sb. to do sth.               关于某事问某人 ask sb. about sth.

    第一个听起来没那么礼貌 the first one sounds less polite    取决于  depend on

    改变他们说话的方式  change the way they speak         更加的礼貌 much more polite

    如何有礼貌地求助how to ask for help politely          在不同的情况下 in different situations              

    问路的相似的请求 similar requests for directions

    花时间来导入请求 spend time leading into a request

    帮助你更好地与某人交流  help you communicate better with other people

    三.知识点

    (1)  beside的用法

    The bookstore is on your right, beside the bank. 书店在你的右边,紧挨着银行。

    I dont know the girl beside Jim. 我不认识吉姆旁边的那个女孩。

    He likes tennis besides football.除了足球之外,他还喜欢网球。

    beside

     prep. ....旁边;在.....附近 表示位置关系。相当于 nearto/ next to

    besides

    prep. ...之外();还可做副词,意为而且

      He sits __________me in the classroom.

      I love the picture of you _________the music fountain(喷泉).

      He gave me a book, a pen and some money________.

    (2)  suggest的用法

    常用搭配/例句

    V.

    suggest sth. (to sb.) 向某人建议某事

    suggest doing sth. 建议做某事

    suggest + that从句(从句的谓语用should+动词原形,should可省略)建议.......

    建议某人做某事不能用suggest sb. to do sth.,但可以用advise sb. to do sth.;

    suggest还有暗示之意,后接that从句时,从句用陈述语气。

     

                         go/solve

    After supper, I suggested ________  for a walk in the park, because walking after dinner is good for our health.

    Our teacher suggested that we ____________ the problem in different ways by ourselves to make us more independent.

    他的话暗示了他下个月将会出国深造。我们对这个消息感到激动。

    四.重点句子

    When you visit a foreign country, it is important to know how to ask for help politely.

      当你去国外旅游的时候,知道如何有礼貌地求助时最重要的。

    The expressions they use might depend on whom they are speaking to or how well they know each other. 他们使用的表达可能取决于他们与谁交谈或他们互相了解的程度

    Sometimes we even need to spend time leading into a request. 有时,我们甚至需要花时间来导入一个请求。

    It might seem more difficult to speak politely than directly.

    But if you say, Excuse me,Mr West. Do you know when the school trp is? this will sound much more polite. 但是,如果你说,打扰一下,韦斯特老师。您知道学校郊游时在什么时候吗?这会听起来更有礼貌。

    五.语法

                                 宾语从句

    (1)定义:在句中起宾语作用的从句称为宾语从句。宾语从句可分为三类:动词的宾语从句;介词的宾语从句和形容词的宾语从句。

    They know that the teacher is a man.

    Don't worry about what he will do next.

    I'm glad that you can join us.

    (4)  考点:连接词、时态、语序

      宾语从句的连接词

     

    She is a good girl, the teacher told us.= The teacher told us that she was a good girl.

    当宾语从句是由陈述句转化来时,用__________引导.

     

    Are you from Japan?  he asked me. = He asked me if / whether I was from Japan.

    Do you like watching TV? he asked me.=He asked me if/ weather I liked watching TV.

    当宾语从句是由一般疑问句转化来时,宾语从句用_______________连接,句尾的标点符号取决于主句。

     

      When did he leave for Japan? Could you tell me ?= Could you tell me when he left for Japan?

    当宾语从句是由特殊疑问句转化来时,连接词就用原来的____________,但从句一定注意用陈述句语序。

     

    宾语从句的时态

    I remember he gave me a book yesterday.

    He has told me that he 'll leave for New York tomorrow.

    如果主句是现在的某种时态(包括一般现在时、现在进行式、现在完成时),那么宾语从句的时态可根据实际情况而定。

     

    He told me that he would take part in the high jump.

    He asked me if I had taken his soap.

    如果主句是过去的某种时态(包括一般过去时、过去进行式),那么宾语从句一般要用过去的某种时态(包括一般过去时、过去进行时、过去将来时、过去完成时)

     

    He told me that the earth revolves around the sun.

    He said that Yao Ming is much taller than him.

    如果宾语从句表示的是客观事实或真理,即使主句是一般过去时,从句也要用一般现在时。

    宾语从句的语序

    What's Kate's email address? Do you know? = Do you know what Kate's e-mail address is?

    宾语从句的语序要用陈述句语序。 即按照主语、谓语的顺序。

    (5)  拓展:否定转移

    I don't think he will come with you.

    I don't believe that's his fault, is it?

    在主从复合句中,当主句的主语为第一人称,谓语动词是thinkbelievesuppose等时,要将从句的否定词转移到主句中。

    (6)  拓展:宾语从句的简化

    I hope that I can receive your e-mail.= I hope to receive your e-mail.

    当宾语从句的主语和主句的主语相同,且主句的谓语动词是hope, wish, decide, agree, choose等时,从句可简化为不定式结构。

     

    She doesn't know what she should do next.= She doesn't know what to do next.

    当宾语从句的主语和主句的主语相同,且主句的谓语动词是know, remember, forget, learn等时,从句可简化为疑问词+不定式结构。

                                   六.写作

    假如你是Tom,你将去一所新的学校学习两年。请有礼貌地询问一些问题。1. 你怎样去;2. 在那里能做什么3. 住在哪里

       Dear Sir or Madam

          I am Tom, I come from London. I will study at your school for two years from next month.So may I ask some questions?

          Could you please tell me how I can go there? Im also wondering what I should take. Could you please tell me what I can do there? And could you tell me where I will live?

          I will appreciate it if you can help me. Im looking forward to your reply.
