Stress in a wrd
When we prnunce wrds with mre than ne syllable, we stress ne f the syllables. The stressed syllable sunds strnger. The stress can be n the first, middle r last syllable f a wrd.
如果一个单词里面有两个或者以上的音节，我们读的时候会发现里面有部分是读得比较响亮的。这些单词中读音特别响亮的音节就叫单词的重读音节。
元音是构成音节的主体，辅音是音节的分界线。
两辅音之间不管有多少个元音, 一般都是一个音节。如: bed 床, bet 打赌, seat 坐位,beat 打败, beau'ty 美2. 两元音字母之间有一个辅音字母时, 辅音字母归后一音节。如: stu'dent 学生, la'bur 劳动3. 有两个辅音字母时, 一个辅音字母归前一音节, 一个归后一音节。 如: let'ter 信, win'ter 冬天4. 不能拆分的字母组合按字母组合划分音节。如: fa’ther 父亲, tea’cher 教师
单词的分类： 按照一个单词有几个音节来划分
每个单词都是由一个个音节组成的, 所以单词就可以按照音节来分成这几种类型：单音节, 双音节, 多音节。单音节----- 一个音节叫单音节。只有一个 音节 的单词叫单音节词(mnsyllable)。 e.g. take双音节--- 两个音节叫双音节。只有两个音节的单词叫双音节词(disyllable)。 e.g. letter多音节词 ----三个音节以上叫多音节。有三 个或者三个以上音节的单词叫多音节词 (plysyllable)。
单音节词多数是重读音节，标记读音时不需要使用重读符号。如：gd /ɡud/ luck /lʌk/ man /mæn/ cme /kʌm/ in /in/ my /mai / shp /ʃɔp/ that/ðæt/ by /bɔi/ there /ðeə / us /ʌs/
双音节词的重音一般落在第一个音节上。如：sister /'sistə/ 、brther /'brʌðə/等。
多音节的词一般都是倒数第三个音节重读；三个音节的词当然就是第一个音节重读。如: secretary /'sekrətəri/ passenger /'pæsindʒə/ recgnize /'rekəɡnaiz/ demcracy /di'mɔkrəsi/
