    My biggest challenge is learning hw t behave at the dinner table. As yu can imagine, things are very different frm the way they are at hme. Fr example, yu’re nt suppsed t put yur bread n yur plate. Yu’re suppsed t put it n the table! I thught that was pretty strange at first, but nw I’m used t it. Anther example is that yu’re nt suppsed t eat anything with yur hands except bread, nt even fruit.
    Yu have t cut it up and eat it with a frk. Anther thing is that it is implite t say yu’re full. If yu dn’t want any mre fd, yu shuld just say, “That was delicius.” Als, yu’re nt suppsed t put yur elbws n the table. I have t say that I find it difficult t remember everything, but I’m gradually getting used t it. I dn’t find French custms s strange anymre.     make . . . feel at hme 使 (某人) 感到宾至如归e. g. Lucy’s mther tried t make us feel at hme. Lucy的妈妈尽力让我们感觉像在家里一样。
    make表示“使……处于某种状态,使成为”时,其宾语之后可接名词、形容词、不定式(不带t)、过去分词、介词短语等作宾语补足语。
    在主动语态中, make后接省去t的动词不定式, 变为被动态时t要还原。e. g. The bss made the wrkers wrk fr ten hurs a day. 老板让工人们每天工作十小时。

    【拓展】“疑问词+动词不定式”结构相当于一个名词性从句, 无论在句子中作什么成分, 常常可用同等成分的从句替代。改为从句时只要在疑问词后面加一个适当的主语, 并将动词不式改为适当形式的谓语即可。e. g. Can yu teach me hw t ride a bike? = Can yu teach me hw I shuld ride a bike? 你能教我怎么骑自行车吗?
