miss /mɪs/ vt. 错过，没赶上；思念
miss意为“错过，没赶上”，后跟名词、代词或动名词作宾语，即miss sth.或miss ding sth.。eg：He missed the early bus. 他没赶上早班公共汽车。
miss还意为“想念”。eg：She missed us very much. 她非常想念我们。
since /sɪns/ prep.自……以后；从……以来cnj.因为；由于；既然；自……以来
since作连词引导时间状语从句，主句常用完成时态，从句中的动词一般是短暂性动词，常用一般过去时态。eg：Mary hasn't phned since she went t Beijing. 玛丽自从去了北京还没有打来过电话。
since作介词，跟过去的某一时间点连用，如具体的年、月、日或钟点等。eg：They have been here since Octber. 自从10月以来，他们一直在这里。

matter /'mætə(r)/ n.问题,事情　v. 有关系，要紧
matter用作名词，常用句型是What's the matter (with sb.)？意为“(某人)怎么了？”，可用What's wrng (with sb.)？替换。eg：—What's the matter with yu？你怎么了？ —I have a headache.我头疼。
辨析“It desn't matter.”，“Yu're welcme.”和“Nt at all.”
matter用作动词，常用句型是It desn't matter.意为“没关系。”
seem /siːm/ v. 好像，似乎
seem＋t be＋表语，表语多为名词或形容词，说明主语的特征或状态。eg：Tm seems t be a very clever by. 汤姆似乎是一个非常聪明的男孩。 Mr. Black seemed t be quite happy. 布莱克先生好像十分高兴。
