    Step 1 Warming up and leading in
    T: What did you do last weekend?

    T: OK, now let’s learn the words and phrases of Unit 3. Open your books to Page 117-118. Look at the new words in this unit.
    Step 2 Learn to read the words on P117-118
    1. Ask the students to read the words by themselves using the phonetics, underline the difficult words.
    2. Encourage the students to read the difficult words with their partners.
    3. Get two or three middle-level students to read all the words, the others listen and correct their mistakes in pronunciation. If necessary, the teacher helps them.
    4. Read after the tape, imitate the pronunciation.
    5. The students read aloud to memorize the words. (The teacher walks around to see whether students have any questions. )

    Step 3 Learn the new words
    一.Remember the words by guessing the meaning of pictures.

    Step 4 Learn how to use the new words and phrases in a story

    Since most families only have one child, parents provide everything for children, such as a comfortable home, all kinds of snacks and shirts. They don’t let children do any chores in order to get good grades. Children should study all the time. They have too much stress from school and parents.
    But I think it’s unfair for children. These days children depend on their parents too much. They can’t take out the rubbish, fold the clothes, or sweep the floor. They throw down things everywhere, it’s a real mess. They don’t even know how to borrow or lend things politely. They don’t know how to get on well with their neighbors. Some of them even waste food and money. Anyway some kids get into a college , they have no idea how to take care of themselves. They often cut their fingers when they pass the knives to others. They often fell ill and their grades dropped. The earlier kids learn to be independent, the better it is for their future. So we should develop children’s independence.

    Task1. Read the story and find about the topic sentence.
