I disagree that doing chores at home is a waste of time.I think children should learn how to do chores and help their parents with housework. To begin with, doing chores helps to develop children’s independence. I often help my parents do housework,such as doing the dishes, folding clothes and cleaning my bedroom. As a result, I am able to take good care of myself now. Besides, it also helps us to understand the idea of fairness. Since we live in one house with our parents, we should know that everyone should do their part in keeping it clean and tidy. Last but not least, doing chores can make parents happy. Our parents have to work hard all day and they are much too tired.If we share the housework, they will have time to relax themselves.
