TH: Tday Mark, Grdn and Andrea are ging t tell us abut sme unusual plants. Mark, d yu want t g first?M: Sure. Tday, I want t talk abut an insect-eating plant called a pitcher plant.

Listen t Mark (M), Grdn (G) and Andrea (A) telling their class and their teacher (TH) abut sme plants.
Here’s a pht f it. Lk at this part here. It’s shaped like a pitcher. It’s actually a leaf even thugh it lks like a flwer. It’s really clever---the insects are attracted by the sweet smell cming frm what they think is a flwer. But it’s a trap.
Once an insect ges dwn int the pitcher, it can’t get ut as there are small hard hairs pinting dwnwards that prevent it frm escaping. In the end, the insect falls dwn int a pl f liquid at the bttm f the pitcher and gets digested by the plant.
