    Step 1: Pre-reading①
    1. Greetings.
    Say hell t students. Divide them int tw grups. Let them PK by getting mre lucky stars t make things becme better and better.
    2. Chant tgether.
    Shw a chant. Let students chant with the teacher.
    3. Let’s judge: Gd r bad.
    Shw sme pictures and sentences.
    T: Say “It was gd!” if yu think it is gd. Say “It was bad!” if yu think it is bad.
    T: A girl has sme gd news and bad news. Let’s lk at the girl’s weekend.
    T: Life is full f gd news and bad news. It was a gd weekend but als a bad weekend fr the girl! Can yu think f any gd r bad things in yur hliday?
    Ss: I went swimming in my hliday. It was gd. But I hurt my leg. It was bad.

    T: Wnderful! Wu Binbin als has gd news and bad news. Let’s have a lk.

    师生一起说唱,在趣味活动中复习已经学过的内容。游戏环节引入“gd news and bad news”这个话题,为后面的学习打下很好的基础。
    4. Discuss and answer.
    (1)Shw pictures in “Read and write”. (课件出示:Read and write板块的图片)
    Let students try t answer tw questins:
    ①Hw did Wu Binbin meet Max?
    ②What will happen next?
    Let students discuss in grups and then cmmunicate in class. Make a mdel:
    Wu Binbin lst his cap. The dg fund his cap. They will becme gd friends. They will play with each ther…
    (2)Let students say the gd news and bad news in the pictures.
    Check the answers tgether.
    Step 2: While-reading
    1. Fast reading.
    T: Wu Binbin and his family had a bad but als gd day n April 2. 3. rd with the dg Max. He wrte a diary abut it. Let’s read it tgether.
    Ask students t read the diary by themselves. Let them try t get mre key infrmatin and number the pictures.
    Check the answers. (课件出示:该板块答案)
    2. Careful reading.②
    (1)Let students read the first paragraph f the diary carefully. This time, answer the questin: What did Wu Binbin’s family d in the mrning? Underline the key phrases abut activities in the bk.

    Ask ne student t answer the questin. Then check the answer tgether.
    Take ut a real basket, and put a ty dg in the basket.

    Lead students t read it several times. Then ask students t pass the basket ne by ne and read the wrd at the same time.
    (2)Let students read the secnd paragraph f the diary carefully and answer tw questins:

    ②What did they d?
    Underline the key phrases abut activities in the bk.

    Then check the answers tgether.

    Teach the new wrds by asking students t d the matching task.
    Help students understand the new wrds “part, licked, laughed” by bdy languages and simple explanatins. Make a mdel:
    T: Let’s play a funny play, t. S1, yu will play the part f a dg. I will play the part f Dad. Let’s g!
    (Write dwn the new wrds n the blackbard.)
    Lead students t read them several times and d the crrespnding actins at the same time.
    (3)Task: Finish the charts n Page 29.
    T: What happened t Wu Binbin’s family? Please think f the gd news and the bad news in Wu Binbin’s diary. And write them dwn in yur bks.
    Ask several students t stand up and read their answers. The student wh gets the right answer can get a lucky star.

    3. Read again.
    (1)Play the recrding f “Read and write”. (课件出示:Read and write板块的音频) Let students read the diary by fllwing the recrding. Then read it by themselves with crrect sense grups and pausing.
    (2)Retell the diary.
    Ask students t retell the diary by filling in the blanks n the PPT.

    1. Grup wrk.
    Ask students t think and discuss in grups: Yur bad but als gd day.
    Encurage students t write it dwn in their bks.
    Make a mdel n the PPT.
