    Analysis f the teaching material
    This lessn is in Unit 2: Great Peple, Grade 9, Hebei Educatin Press. The tpic f this unit is abut great peple. The purpse f this unit is t get the students t learn abut the great peple wh made big cntributins t the wrld. Their interests, gals and ther qualities made big differences t their wn lives. Meanwhile, they set a gd example fr the students. The grammar fcus is Attributive Clause and Adverbial Clause.
    Lessn 10 is a passage abut the stry f Helen Keller. Frm this class, the students are able t tell the stry f Helen Keller in English. At the same time, they can learn her spirit. N matter when they meet any difficulty, they shuld never give themselves up.

    Step 1. Lead-in
    Lead in the class by playing a shrt vide abut Helen Keller. And then ask the students sme questins:
    Culd Helen Keller see and hear? Hw did she knw the wrld?
    “She knew the wrld by tuching.” By shwing the shrt vide, the students can have a deep impressin abut Helen Keller and are eager t learn this lessn.
    Step 2. Fast reading
    Get the students t skim the passage and put the main idea f each paragraph in crrect rders s that the students can have a whle understanding abut the life f Helen Keller.When the ther students write dwn their answers, ne student shuld glue them n the blackbard s the students can finish next task easily based n the main idea f each paragraph.
    (2)Helen Keller fell ill at the age f 19 mnths ld.

    died at the age f 88.
    (3)Luckily, in 1887, a yung teacher named Anne Sullivan began t help her.
    (5)After finishing university, Helen visited many cuntries t speak abut her life.

    Step 3. Careful reading in grups
    Get the students t read the passage and then talk abut and the questins in grups. The purpse is t imprve students’ reading abilities and cultivate their spirit f cperatin t deal with prblems.

    Step 4. Filling and practicing
    Get the students t read the whle passage again and then finish the dialgue and finally shw it t the class in pairs, which can make the students have a further understanding the text, and meanwhile get them t practice their ral English and expressin.

    Get the students t think abut fur questins and then fill in the blanks s that the students knw abut Helen Keller further and can be tuched by her great spirit.

    Step 6. Summarizing and enjying a pem
    First get the students t answer the questins, “What can we learn frm Helen Keller? And then get the students t enjy the pem, “Never give up”, which can make the students feel relaxed and cnfident abut their wn life as well as have a determinatin t strive fr their dreams.
    Step 7. Hmewrk
    Get the students t write a reprt abut Huang Yanggang, Zhang Haidi and Stephen Hawking by checking their infrmatin n the Internet. The purpse is t get the students t knw abut mre disabled peple and well-knwn peple s that they can have them as their mdels t face any difficulties with strng wills.
