    Shw the students sme pictures abut sme peple wh need help.Ask them whether they give their seats t the ld,whether they give mney t the pr,and whether they give a hand t the ne wh falls dwn n the rad.
    Step 2 Cperative inquiry
    1.Shw 1a n the screen.Then ask students t lk at the picture and discuss the ways they culd help peple in the picture.Then list ther ways.
    2.Read the cntent in 1b.And then listen t the tape t number the ways the by and girl culd help thers.
    3.Ask students t practice the cnversatin in the picture in 1a.Then make ther cnversatins using the infrmatin in 1b.After that,ask sme pairs f students t shw the cnversatins.
    4.A grup f students are planning a City Park Clean­Up Day.Lk at the pictures in 2a first and then listen and check the things they are ging t d t tell peple abut it.
    5.Lk at the sentences in 2b.Then listen again and fill in the blanks in 2b.
    6.Ask students t make a cnversatin using the infrmatin in 2a and 2b.Then ask ne grup t shw their cnversatin.
    7.Ask students t read the cnversatin in 2d and try t rle­play it.
    8.Explain the language pints with examples.Then talk abut the grammar in this lessn.
    9.Make a summary f this lessn.
    10.D sme exercises t cnslidate the key pints.

    1.Make a cnversatin abut yur vlunteering.Yu can use 2d as a reference.
    2.Read the cnversatin in 2d till fluently.Preview the new wrds f the next perid.

    Step 1 Lead­in
    Ask students t talk abut smething they knw abut vlunteers and tell the class their vlunteering activities.
    Step 2 Cperative inquiry
    1.Ask students t lk thrugh the passage abut Mari and Mary.Then answer the questin:What d Mari and Mary vlunteer t d?
    2.Ask students t read the article again and answer the fllwing questins:
    (1)Why des Mari vlunteer t help thers?
    (2)Why des Mary vlunteer t help thers?
    (3)What des Mari say abut vlunteering?
    (4)What des Mary say abut vlunteering?
    3.Ask students t read the passage again and use infinitives t cmplete the sentences in 3c.
    4.Ask students t read the sentences in Grammar Fcus and try t sum up the usages f the infinitives and the mdal verb culd.
    5.Ask students t read the phrasal verbs in the bx in 4a,and fill in the blanks with the phrasal verbs.Then shw them PPT t check the answers.
    6.Fill in the blanks with the crrect frms f the verbs in the bx in 4b and check the answers with PPT.Then let students read the passage till fluently.
    7.Ask students t cmplete the sentences with their wn ideas by using infinitives.
    8.Shw the language pints,and then talk abut the grammar in this lessn.
    9.Make a summary f this lessn.And d sme exercises t cnslidate the key pints.
