    Step 1 Pre-writing
    1. Review: Talk abut Neil’s hme.
    T: D yu still remember that Neil shwed us his hme in the UK in a vide?
    T: Gd, I’d like yu t say smething abut Neil’s hme accrding t the pictures and sme key wrds here.
    (1) Where is Neil’s hme?
    (2) What kind f hme des he live in?
    (3) Hw many flrs are there in his hme?
    (4) Des he have a garden? What’s the garden like?
    (5) Hw many rms are there in his hme? What are they?
    (6) What’s his favurite place?
    (7) What things des he have in his hme?
    【设计意图:让学生根据图片和问题描述Neil的家,一方面复习了本单元有关家这个话题的词汇和表达,另一方面也为本节课的写作做好语言上的铺垫。】
    2. Intrduce my hme.
    T: Pretty gd, yu really have a gd memry. Nw I will shw yu my hme.
    Picture 1: I live in a small twn in Wuxi. My huse is very big. It has tw flrs. There is a swimming pl in frnt f my huse.
    Picture 2: Beside my huse, there is als a garden full f flwers.
    Picture 3: On the grund flr, there is a living rm. It lks big and cmfrtable.
    Picture 4: I like t sit n the sfa and watch TV.
    Picture 5: Beside the living rm is the dining rm. I like t sit at the dinner table, reading newspapers when I am having my breakfast every mrning.
    Picture 6/7: Next t the dining rm is the kitchen. Yu can see a big fridge in which there is always mre than enugh fd.
    Picture 8: On the first flr, there are three bedrms. They are small but cmfrtable.
    Picture 9: There is a bathrm n each flr. Yu can take a shwer r have a bath.
    Picture 10: In the crner f the bathrm, there is als a washing machine.
    Picture 11: My favurite place is the balcny. I lve t sit there and lk ut at the garden.
    Picture 12/13: There is a very big dinner table n the balcny. At the weekends, I like t invite my friends t cme fr dinner. It is great fun!

    3. Cmplete a questinnaire.

    4. Talk abut yur hme.
    T: Ask and answer the fllwing questins with yur partner.
    (1) Where is yur hme?
    (2) What kind f hme d yu live in?
    (3) Hw many flrs are there in yur hme?
    (4) D yu have a garden?
    (5) Hw many rms are there in yur hme?
    (6) What are they?
    (7) Hw many peple live in yur hme? Wh are they?
    (8) What things d yu have in yur hme?
    【设计意图:先完成一份调查问卷,然后让学生根据自己所填的信息与同伴展开对话,让学生由写过渡到说,让学生有话可说。】
    5. Watch a vide.
    T: Yu really have fun talking abut yur wn hmes. D yu like yur hme? D yu want a better ne? I guess at the bttm f everybdy’s heart, there is a dream hme. Nw let’s watch a vide.

    6. Read Simn’s article.
    T: Simn als has his dream hme and he writes an article abut it. Nw let’s take a lk at it.
    T: Read the article and answer the questins.
    (1) Where is Simn’s dream hme?
    (2) Hw many flrs are there in his dream hme?
    (3) What’s utside his hme?
    T: Can yu tell me where yu fund the answers?
    T: Yes, in Paragraph 1.
    T: Read the article again and fill in the table.
    T: Where did yu find the answers?
    T: Anther questin fr yu: What can Simn d n each flr?
    7. The structure f Simn’s article.
    In Paragraph 1, he writes abut where his dream hme is, hw many flrs there are and what’s utside his dream hme.
    In Paragraph 2, he writes abut what’s n the grund flr and what he can d n that flr.
    In Paragraph 3, he writes abut what’s n the first flr and what he can d n that flr.
    In Paragraph 4, he writes abut what’s n the secnd flr and what he can d n that flr.
    【设计意图:让学生阅读Simn的梦想之家,获取信息,回答问题,并通过问题感知整个文本的框架,从而了解到从哪些方面去写一篇关于自己的梦想之家的文章以及文章应如何布局,为后面的写作做好铺垫。】
    8. Talk abut yur dream hme.
    T: Yu knw ur task tday is t write abut yur dream hme, s Simn’s article is a gd mdel fr yu. Befre we begin ur writing, I’d like t hear yu talk abut yur dream hmes. Ask and answer the fllwing questins with yur partners.

    Step 2 While-writing
    T: It’s time fr yu t write abut yur dream hmes. Dn’t frget yu can use Simn’s article as a mdel. Here are sme useful expressins fr yu.
    T: Pay attentin t this table. We will evaluate yur writing accrding t this table. Make sure yu write all the main pints. Try t use crrect expressins and nt t make mistakes. Remember t have a gd handwriting. If yu have excellent expressins and gd ideas, yu’ll get extra pints. Nw let’s begin ur writing.

    Step 3 Pst-writing
    1. Evaluate their writing.
    T: Exchange yur article with yur partner and grade it accrding t the assessment table here. If yu find sme mistakes, try t crrect them. If yu find sme gd expressins r ideas, yu can underline them. Yu can ask me fr help if yu have any prblem.
    2. Give advice.
    T: After grading, please write dwn yur advice n yur partner’s article.
    If the article gets 18-20 pints, yu can write dwn “Well dne! Keep n!”
    If it gets 15-17 pints, yu can write dwn “Nt bad. Need t practice mre!”
    If it gets 10-14 pints, yu can write dwn “Nt gd. Need t practice a lt!”
    3. Enjy sme gd articles.
    T: If yur partner’s article gets 18-20 pints, please stand up and read the article ut.
    【设计意图:写作完成后,同伴之间相互交换自己的作文。学生根据评分标准给自己同伴的作文打分并给出相应的意见。这样相互批改不但调动了学生的积极性,也加深了学生对如何写好一篇文章的规范的印象。通过批改他人的作文,学生也在内心检视了自己的作文,取长补短。】
