    Ability objective:Ss be able to introduce an invention from three aspects: make an introduction, talk about the reason and function

    Moral objective: encourage Ss to have a creative mind and be interested in science and technology

    Teaching importance&difficulty: Ss be able to introduce an invention by using passive tense

    While-task:

    1. Show the task to the Ss:

    科技节要到了,学生会举办我是小小发明家的英语手抄报大赛,请以The most useful invention that I design为题,做一份海报。

    要点如下:

    (1)introduce your invention                                         

    (2) Why do you make it?

    (3)What's it used for?

    (4)字数要求不少于80词。

    2. Play flash game: show some pictures to Ss as quickly as possible, Ss stand up if they know what invention it is

    3. Practice the target languages:

    Give some key words and phrases for Ss to help them make sentences

    E.g. (1)Bell; 1876, be invented in/by

       (2)bamboo, ask for help, be made of/from/ be used for

    memory test: give Ss 30 to recite the following sentences:

    (1)The sky lantern allows people to ask for help when they are in danger.

    (2)People are able to ask for help by using the sky lantern.

    (3)One of the advantages of sky lantern is that people can ask for help.

    Ss try to practice the following sentence structure with the help of some pictures:

    4. fill the blanks in 4 minutes and analyze the writing structure:

       If I can work as a great inventor, a family doctor robot will be my first 1.________(choose). It will be made of some magic metal. It not only looks like human beings, but 2._____ behaves as us.

       The family doctor robot will be 3.______['juːsfʊl] and helpful because 4._____ the following reasons: First of all, you can see the doctor immediately at home when you feel sick or get hurt.
