Unit 2 When do you use a computer?

一、教学目标

1. 能够掌握重点词汇：share, game, often, customer, Internet, check, train, travel, plan, ticket, music, movie, night, search for, information, email, send, sometimes

2.能够掌握重点句型：

(1) Who can use the computer on Sundays?

(2) There is no computer in my home.

(3) But sometimes I play a lot of games and my mother doesn’t like it.

4. 能够仿照例文写一段介绍自己计算机使用情况的短文。

Step 1 Warming-up

1. Ss chant the sentences.

2. Complete the passage.

3. Ss work in their groups and brainstorm the ways of computer use.

设计意图：吟诵活动能够有效活跃课堂气氛，调动学生的学习热情。小组合作进行头脑风暴活动，并展开竞争，提高学生的学习兴趣，激发他们的竞争意识和挑战意识。

Step 2 While-reading

Activity 1

1. Ss read through the questions.

2. T lets Ss listen to the recording and answer the questions.

3. Check the answers.

Activity 2

1. Ss read the sentences and then read the passage and underline the related information in the text.

2. Ss check the true sentences and then check with a partner.

3. T elicits the answers.

设计意图：培养学生提取细节信息的能力。

Step 3 Post-reading

Fill and retell

Fill in the blanks and try to retell the passage.

Read and find

1. T tells Ss to find out what the people in the passage do on their computers.

2. T makes suggestions to Ss.

3. Ss find out and remember the phrases in the passage.

4. T ask Ss to match the words and expressions.

Activity 3&4

1. Ss read the words in the box.

2. T lets Ss complete the passage with the correct form of the words from the box.

3. Ss check their answers in pairs and then T elicits answers from the whole class.

设计意图：练习重点词汇，提高综合运用语言的能力。

Activity 5

1. T has Ss work in pairs to ask and answer the questions.

2. T lets Ss write sentences about their answers and take one of the paragraphs in the passage as an example to write a short composition.

设计意图：进一步锻炼了学生的口语表达能力和书面表达能力，也在不知不觉中夯实了本堂课的主要内容。

Step 4 Summary

1. Who shares a computer with his father?
