    Step 1: Warm-up & Revisin & Lead-in①
    1. Greetings.
    2. Let’s chant. (课件出示:下面的chant)
    Ask students t stand up and chant after the teacher. And ask them t d the actins at the same time.
    T: Run, run, I can run.
    Ss: Run, run, I can run. (D the actin f running.)
    T: Jump, jump, I can jump.
    Ss: Jump, jump, I can jump. (D the actin f jumping.)
    T: Sing, sing, I can sing.
    Ss: Sing, sing, I can sing. (D the actin f singing.)
    T: Draw, draw, I can draw.
    Ss: Draw, draw, I can draw. (D the actin f drawing pictures.)

    3. Play a game: Find yur partner.
    (游戏说明:教师准备一些单词卡片,如rabbit, bird, pig, jump, fly, eat。将学生分成六个小组,并将单词卡片随机分给六个小组。拿到动物单词卡片的小组使用句型“What can yu d, …? ”来提问,拿到动词卡片的小组则根据问句中动物的名称判断自己的动词是否符合该动物的动作特征,如果不符合就保持沉默,如果符合,则使用句型“I can…”来回答。如rabbit匹配jump, bird匹配fly, pig匹配eat。匹配正确的两个小组成为彼此的好搭档,并且每个小组都能获得一颗星奖励,问错或匹配错误的小组没有奖励。)

    Lead students t say: Yu can sing. Then the teacher sings an English sng.

    Lead students t say: Yu can sing English sngs. Write dwn the phrase “sing English sngs” n the blackbard. Lead students t read it three times. And present the sentence pattern “I can…” n the blackbard, t. Lead students t practice the sentences: I can sing. I can sing English sngs.
    (2) In the same way, use bdy language t teach the wrd “dance”. Write dwn the wrd “dance” n the blackbard. Lead students t read it three times. And lead students t practice the sentence: I can dance.
    (3)Take ut a picture f a pipa and say: I have a pipa. Hld the picture and act like playing the pipa. At the same time, play a shrt sund f pipa n the PPT. (出示课件)

    Lead students t say: Yu can play the pipa. Write dwn the phrase “play the pipa” n the blackbard. Lead students t read it three times. And lead students t practice the sentence: I can play the pipa.
    Present sme pictures f mre Chinese and Western musical instruments (such as erhu, guzheng, pian, vilin…) and their crrespnding phrases. (出示课件) Help students knw mre kinds f musical instruments. Lead them t read the crrespnding phrases: play the erhu, play the guzheng, play the pian, play the vilin and s n. Stress the wrd “the” in frnt f these musical instruments in red clur. Lead students t understand that the nun fr an instrument is preceded by “the”.
    (4) Shw a shrt vide f the mvie Kung Fu Panda. (出示课件) Let students try t say the name f this mvie.

    Lead students t say the phrase “kung fu”. Then act like ding kung fu.

    Lead students t say: Yu can d kung fu, t. Write dwn the phrase “d kung fu” n the blackbard. Lead students t read it three times. And lead students t practice the sentence: I can d kung fu.
    (5) Shw sme pictures f different cartn characters.
    T: D yu like cartns? Ss: Yes, I d.
    Then act like drawing pictures.
    T: What can I d? Ss: Yu can draw pictures.
    Take ut sme brief strkes f different cartn characters.
    T: Lk! I can draw…
    Lead students t say the wrd “cartns”. Write dwn the phrase “draw cartns” n the blackbard. Lead students t read it three times. And lead students t practice the sentence: I can draw cartns.

    2. Read and make new dialgues.③
    (1) Read the wrd and the phrases.
    ①Shw the pictures f “Let’s learn”. (出示课件) First, ask students t bserve the pictures. Then let them read the wrd and the phrases after the recrding. (出示课件) Encurage students t d the crrespnding actins at the same time.
    ②Take ut the cards f these vcabulary randmly. Ask students t read them ut ludly.
    ③Ask ne student t cme t the platfrm and take all the cards in his/ her hands. The teacher says a wrd r a phrase at a time. The student shuld chse the right card and hand it up. The thers read the wrd r phrase ludly.
    (2) Read the dialgue.
    Divide students int tw grups. Let all the girls read Miss White’s sentence and all the bys read Mike’s sentence. Write dwn the sentence patterns “—What can yu d? —I can…” n the blackbard.
    (3) Make yur wn dialgue.
    ①Let students wrk in pairs. Ask students t use the wrd and the phrases in this part and try t ask and answer by using the sentence patterns n the blackbard.
    ②Ask sme pairs t shw their dialgues by the game “Drive a train”.

    1. Play a game: Simn says.
    (游戏说明:教师发指令,学生做动作。如果教师在指令前说了Simn says,学生就要做出相应的动作;如果教师只说指令,学生则保持不动。例如,教师说“Simn says,sing English sngs.”,学生唱英文歌;如果教师说“Sing English sngs.”,学生保持不动。以此方法多轮操练本课重点词汇。)
    2. Play a game: A tw-man cmic shw.
    (游戏说明:两个学生一组,模仿双簧的场景。其他同学问“What can yu d?”,躲在后面的学生大声回答,坐着的学生做出相应的动作。分组进行比拼,优秀的小组可以得到一颗星作为奖励。)

    2. Present the dialgue between Jhn and Zhang Peng. (出示课件)
    T: What can Zhang Peng d?
    Ask students t find ut the answer. Then tick in the crrespnding grid.
    3. Wrk in grups.
    First, students write dwn all the grup members’ names n the first rw f the chart. Then ask and answer as the example f Jhn and Zhang Peng. Tick in the crrespnding grids accrding t the answers.
    4. Make a mdel with a student.
    Write the name f this student n the first rw f the chart. Then ask and answer like this:
    T: What can yu d? S1: I can sing English sngs and play the pipa.
    Tick in the crrespnding grids abut these tw activities under this student’s name. Then ask students t cmplete their charts. After they cmplete the chart, lead students t reprt their survey result in grups like this: S1 can… S2 can… S3 can… At last, invite several students t shw their results in class. Each gd grup can get tw stars.
    5. Cunt the number f stars f each grup.
