教学目标： By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: 1. learn new letters and words: color, red, yellow, green, blue, black, white, purple, brown... 2. learn to identify colors.
教学重点： 1. Letters: Ss,Tt,Uu,Vv,Ww,Xx,Yy,Zz 2. Key words: color, red, yellow , green, blue, black, white, brown .... 3. Key sentences: -What’s this/that ? -It’s V. -What color is it? -It's blue.
教学难点： Learn to make sentences using “What color is it?” and “It’s...”

Step 1 Warming-up (PPT 3-8)		Ask Ss to have a free talk about colors. What colors do you know? What colors do you like? Why do you like it? Play a game and warm up. Lead in and learn the new color words.				用明亮的颜色热身并用图片中的颜色导入新学的单词和句型。
Step 2 Presentation (PPT 9 -11)		Work on 1a. Show the picture and ask Ss to read the letters in 1a. Make Ss write the letters for each color.Then checks the answers. Work in pairs to ask and answer.				朗读这些和颜色相关的单词。设计奥运五环旗练习这些颜色，使学生对颜色更感兴趣，更熟练运用和表达有关颜色的单词。
Step 3 Listening & Practice (PPT 12-16)		Work on 1b. 1. Play the tape of 1b for Ss to listen and repeat. 2. Read the conversation together. 3. Explain the sentences. Work on 1c. Step 4 Letters (PPT 17-21)		Work on 2a,2b,2c,2d. Play the tape of 2a and 2b for Ss to listen, repeat and number the letters. Ask Ss to read and copy the letters Ss-Zz. Ask Ss to write the missing big letters or small letters in their books. Check the answers with the class.				听听力。此处还设计了S到Z这些字母的书写练习。观察这些PPT的书写，使学生熟练这些字母的大小写形式，建立起规范书写的良好习惯。
Step 5 Abbreviation (PPT 22-26)		Work on 2e. Make Ss read the abbreviation letters in 2e and let them talk about the meanings. S/M/L（尤指服装的尺码）小号的/中号的/大号的 UFO不明飞行物 CCTV中国中央电视台				通过这些缩略的字母的学习，了解缩略词所代表的意义，使学生开阔视野。

Step 7 Homework (PPT 35-40)		Review what you learned today. 2. Preview the new words and expressions in next lesson.				该项作业主要是复习本节课所学的知识点，并且让学生养成预习功课的习惯。
