设计说明

首先谈论自己喜欢的电影明星，然后以奥黛丽·赫本的故事来导入新
课，根据她的信息来谈论她的演艺生涯，通过问答和填空来练习，讨论如何写关于影星的文章，再根据所给的李小龙的信息来写自己的作文。最后讲解知识点，完成巩固练习。

通过本课时的教学，让学生达成以下目标：

2. Read the fact file about Jackie Chan on Page 104 and answer the questions.

(1) When was Jackie Chan born?

On 7 April 1954.

(2) How many years did he spend at the China Drama Academy?

Ten years.

(3) What did he do after he graduated?

He worked as a stuntman.

(4) When was Drunken Master on?

In 1978.

(5) Which film was a great success in Hollywood?

Rumble in the Bronx.

(6) What did he set up in 1988?

The Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation.

　My favourite film star is (1) Jackie Chan. He is famous all over the world.

Jackie Chan was born on (2) 7 April 1954 in (3) Hong Kong. He spent ten years at the (4) China Drama Academy. After he graduated, he worked as (5) a stuntman. Later he became an actor.

In 1978 the film Drunken Master soon made Jackie Chan famous in (6) Asia. His other successful films include the (7) Police Story series in the 1980s and 1990s. Later he went to Hollywood. In 1995 his film Rumble in the Bronx was a great success in (8) Hollywood. Then the (9) Rush Hour series and the Shanghai Noon series made him even more popular. So far he has acted in nearly (10) 100 films and has won many awards. His films are special because they successfully join (11) humour and exciting action together.

Jackie Chan is a Chinese kung fu superstar, but his achievements are far more than that. He set up the (12) Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation in 1988. He has spent many years doing (13) charity work. He has helped people not only in China, but in over (14) 30 countries all over the world, including the USA, Australia, Japan, Russia and South Africa.
