By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

1. learn some new words about the items that are needed for a space travel;

2. talk with partners about what life would be like on Mars;

3. think about the advantages and disadvantages of living in space.

1. New words and phrases: dried food, sleeping bag, Mars, helmet, air tank, power pack, gravity

2. New structures: Me neither.

               What would it be like to live on Mars?

Step 1 Lead-in

1. Free talk

T: Do you love travelling?

T: Do you think it is exciting to travel into space some day?

T: Do you want to travel into space? Why or why not?

1. Watch and answer

2. Read the dialogue after the tape

3. Read and act out the dialogue

4. Complete the short passage

1. Listen and fill in the form

T: Listen to a dialogue about living on Mars and then fill in the form.

2. Watch and discuss

T: Watch a video about the life on space and talk about if you want to live on Mars some day. Give your reasons.
