Step 1, Warm-up

1. Free talk teacher say; We will learn Unit4 January is the first month. Lesson 19.Ok, Let’s look at the screen and listen to the song. <Days of the week>

 Look at me like this. Show me your fingers. Look, this is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

 Good, You’re very Good. OK, Let’s Count together. Teacher say：Let’s sing a song<Days of the week>. Show the screen and have a look.

1. Teacher say: You’re Wonderful. May I ask you questions? Teacher: How many days are there in a weeks? Students: Seven. There are seven days in a week.

Teacher: What are they? Students: They’re Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

2. Teacher say: Excellent, Let’s have a look. How many months are there in a year? Students: There are twelve months in a year.

 3.  Teacher teach the new words “month, January, New Year’s Day, February, rice cake, celebrate.”

 4.  Teacher say:  Show the card of January. And learn the word. January is the first month of the year. What’s the first day of the year？What’s Festival? January 1st is New Year’s Day. Learn the New Year’s Day.  New Year’s Day is on January 1st .What do people do on New Year’s Day.

They celebrate New Year’s Day.

          5. February is the second month of the year.

Now people call it Chinese New Year.

What do people do in Chinese New Year.

People celebrate the festival with their families.
