一、课标描述:本课时为本单元的第五课时,教学的定位是语篇阅读教学。针对六年级学生的基础,通过全文略读和细读,培养学生从阅读中提取信息的能力,指导帮助学生在阅读中掌握朗读技巧;最后在理解语篇的基础上,培养学生的读写兴趣和读写能力。本课时把主题落脚在了影子上。本课时分为三个部分:第一部分要求学生先完成读前活动,解决本篇重要的语法知识点以及猜测本篇重要的人物及其关系;第二部分为分析文章细节的读中活动,即:通过设问、读、underline、fill in the blanks、role play的方式去解决文章的细节问题;第三部分为读后的书写活动,思考和分析人的变化,并且用形容词比较级来描述变化。
二、学习目标
1.通过课前预习,让学生能够准确抓住关键信息,捕捉到文本的主旨内容,并对文本进行预测。
2.通过阅读文本、PPT引导、教师讲授、小组讨论、表演等活动,学生能够理解文本,为对话文本填上合适的词语。通过模仿及小组内朗读,学生能够按正确的意群以及语音、语调来朗读文本。
3.通过教师引导,与教师自由对话,阅读文本等活动,学生能够在语篇中捕捉不同类型信息,能做简单推理。
4.通过观看微视频指导,学生能够在理解太阳落山影子变长。通过分析影子的变化和描写自己或者朋友的变化,学生能够学会用科学的思维去辨别日常生活现象,并且能够描述变化,和为什么产生这样的变化。

1. Warm-up
Greetings and review(playing a game)
2. Pre-reading
T: Do you like games? Now let’s begin (PPT出现). Are you ready?出现“吹气球”游戏,复习longer, taller, thinner, older, bigger, smaller, younger,
heavier,lower ,smarter.
出示PPT,T: Look at the picture. What can you see in the picture?
S: A duck and a tree.
T: The duck is so small, and the tree is so old. Look! I am older than you. Can you say more about the tree and the duck? The tree is ....提示学生句型,复习本单元前四课时已学句型。
S:The tree is older than the duck. And the duck is younger than the tree.
3. While-reading
(1)First reading:
Choose a title for the story. Pay attention to the key word--shadow. Shadow, shadow.
T: Little duck’s shadow. How do you know that? Read the story.
And in paragraph 2, the key word my shadow, it means little duck’s shadow. And in paragraph3, (等待学生回答),yes, your shadow. Well done! Thank you. It’s also little duck’s shadow.
(2)Second reading
T:So what happend to little duck’s shadow? Look at the picture.
What is the little duck doing?(等待学生回答,从原文中找出来.
T: So when is it? Is it in the morning, or in the afternoon?
In the afternoon, the sun goes down. And in the afternoon, the sun is getting ----等待学生回答lower and lower. How about the shadow? Let’s fill in the blanks
Who does little duck ask? (学生回答,老师重复)
Why? Why does he ask old tree, not a young tree?(为了引出The old tree is older and smarter than the little duck.)
T:OK! Boys and girls. If you have questions, who will you ask?
If you can’t solve the maths problem, who will you ask?
S: I will ask the teacher.
T: That’s a good choice.
T: The little duck asks his friend old tree. Because the old tree is older and smarter than the little duck.
And he got answer from the old tree.
T: Who can try?
So what does Old Tree say?
Read Paragraph3, and circle the words with “-er”. Who can read it?
But, Can you answer Little Duck’s question?
T: Now, let’s see the video about the shadow.
(3)Third reading
T: Look at the blackboard, and fill in the blanks.
T:grow means a little duck, grows a duck, and a duck grows a big duck, and a big duck grows a big beautiful duck. And “becoming” means a little duck grows a big beautiful duck. And there are many kinds of the bird. Some birds can’t fly. For example....(出示图片)
(4)Role play.
(5)Think and say(评价目标3)
T: But, Can you answer Little Duck’s question?
S:…..
T: Now, let’s see the video about the shadow.
(6).Look and Say. T: Look at the blackboard, and fill in the blanks.
4. Post-reading
(1)Choose and play.
