    反义词为go down,相当于set.

    =Both Mary and Tom like Chinese.

    注意:如果前面的句子是否定句,不能用so,要用neither/nor,说明前句否定的情况也适用于后面的句子。
    Eg: You didn't go to the park. Neither/Nor did I.昨天你没去公园,我也没去。
    “So+主语+助动词(be动词或情态动词).”结构意为“的确如此、确实如此”,
    表示后者赞同前者的话或意见,只是进一步强调并重复前句所述的内容。
    前后句的主语指的是同一个人或物。
    Eg: —He will speak at the meeting tomorrow.他明天将在会上发言。
    —So he will.确实如此。
    Eg: —He went to see his friend yesterday.他昨天去看朋友了。
    —So he did.的确如此。
    ¶ 知识点四:I helped her brush her teeth and climb into bed.
    【辨析】help sb. with sth.或help sb. (to) do sth.帮助某人(做)某事,
    二者意思相同,只是一个后跟名词,一个后跟动词原形。
    Eg:A short while ago, my sister helped me to carry one of my old bookcases up the stairs. 片刻之前,我妹妹帮我把我的一只旧书橱抬上了楼。

    No.1英语构词法主要有三种:合成法、转化法和派生法。掌握基本的构词法,有助于词汇的理解、记忆和积累。合成法,就是把两个或两个以上的词按照一定的次序排列构成新词的方法。用此法构成的词叫复合词。复合词主要包括复合名词、复合代词、复合形容词和复合副词等。
    1、复合名词:
    (1)名词+动词 headache(头疼),daybreak(黎明)
    (2)动词+名词 playground(操场),postcard(明信片)
    (3)名词+名词 basketball(篮球),classroom(教室)
    (4)形容词+名词 blackboard(黑板),grandfather(爷爷)

    2、复合代词:

    3、复合形容词有:
    man-made(人造的),kind-hearted(好心的),hard-working(努力工作的),fund-raising (筹集资金的)等。
    4、复合副词有:
    upstairs(到楼上),downstairs(到楼下),everywhere(到处),maybe(或许)等
    另外,复合动词有understand(理解),复合介词有without(无,没有)等。

    2.“become + 形容词比较级 + and + 形容词比较级”是“变得越来越……”的意思,and连接同一个形容词的比较级。
    3.在含有or的选择疑问句中,如果有两者供选择,前面的形容词要用比较级形式。
    (2)形容词、副词的最高级形式主要用来表示三者或三者以上人或事物的比较,表示“最……”的意思。句子中有表示范围的词或短语。如:of the three, in our class等等。
    如:He is the tallest in our class. 他在我们班里是最高的。
    (3)形容词和副词的比较级变化规则:
    规则变化:
    (1) 单音节词直接在其后面加-er/-est。tall-taller-tallest hard-harder-hardest
    (2) 以字母e结尾的单音节词在其后面直接加-r/-st。例如:brave-braver-bravest。
    (3) 以一个辅音字母结尾闭音节单音节词,双写这个辅音字母再加-er/-est。

    1.Objective Clause.
    在句子中起宾语作用的从句叫做宾语从句.宾语从句分为三类:动词的宾语从句,介词的宾语从句和形容词的宾语从句.
    时态:主句用一般现在时或将来时,从句可用任意时。
    主句用过去时,从句用过去某个时态。
    主句用过去时,从句是真理时,只用一般现在时。
    (1)及物动词后接连接代词有:that,what,who,which,whose...
    常跟that的动词有:agree,believe,decide,hear,hope,imagine,know,
    notice,say,see,think,wish在口语和非正式文体中,that可以省略。
    (2)及物动词后接连接副词有:how,when,where,why.....
    (3)形容词后的宾语从句:sure,glad,sorry,happy,afraid.....
    2.Comparative and Superlative--Adjective and Adverbs.
    (1)形容词、副词有三个等级:原级,比较级: 比较...,更...一些 , 最高级: 最...
    表示两者间的比较用比较级。其常见句式有:
    1.“A + be +形容词比较级 + than + B” 意思为“A比B更……”。
    2.“become + 形容词比较级 + and + 形容词比较级”是“变得越来越……”的意思,and连接同一个形容词的比较级。
    3.在含有or的选择疑问句中,如果有两者供选择,前面的形容词要用比较级形式。
    (2)形容词、副词的最高级形式主要用来表示三者或三者以上人或事物的比较,表示“最……”的意思。句子中有表示范围的词或短语。如:of the three, in our class等等。
    如:He is the tallest in our class. 他在我们班里是最高的。
    (3)形容词和副词的比较级变化规则:
    规则变化:
    (1) 单音节词直接在其后面加-er/-est。tall-taller-tallest hard-harder-hardest
    (2) 以字母e结尾的单音节词在其后面直接加-r/-st。例如:brave-braver-bravest。
    (3) 以一个辅音字母结尾闭音节单音节词,双写这个辅音字母再加-er/-est。
    例如:big-bigger-biggest;hot-hotter-hottest。
    (4) 以辅音字母+y结尾的双音节词,先把y改为i,再加-er/-est。
    例如:happy-happier-happiest。
    (5) 其他双音节词和多音节的词,在前面加more和most。例如:

    相似的表达法:

    相似的表达法:
    Can I help you? 我能帮你的忙吗?

    (1)可与复数名词及不可数名词连用。

    7. sea名词,意为“海洋,大海,大湖,大浪”。如:
    I like to see the sea. 我喜欢看大海。
    The sea looks very beautiful. 大海看起来很漂亮。
    由sea构成的短语
    (1)at sea表示在“茫茫大海上”,意指“离海岸很远”。如:
    They had first met at sea. 他们在海上航行时首次见面。
    (2)all at sea引申为“茫然不知所措”之意。如:
    I’m all at sea. I can’t understand that problem. 我一片茫然,无法理解那个问题。

    10. keep意为“保持;保存;借”。如:
    The six students must keep their hands behind their backs.

    Certainly. You can keep them for two weeks. 当然可以,你可以借两周。
    (1)keep+n. pron. +adj. 意为使(让)某人(物)保持某一状态。如:
    He wanted to do something to keep himself busy.
    他想做点事情让自己充实起来。
    The other students in the class keep their eyes closed.
    班里的其他同学把眼睛闭上。
    (2)keep+n. pron. +doing sth. 意为“让某人不停地干……”。如:
    I’m sorry to keep you waiting for a long time.
    对不起,让你久等了。
     
    11. is(have)fun doing sth. 做某事很有趣。注意后面一定用动名词形式。如:
    It is fun talking with that old woman. 同那位老妇人谈话很有趣。
    My family is going to have lots fun hiking. 我一家人徒步旅行将很有趣。
    Did you have fun playing football just now? 刚才你们踢足球尽兴吗?
    形容词后+动词-ing形式
    be busy doing sth. 忙于做某事。如:
    They are busy working in the field. 他们在地里忙着干活。

    (1)thanks=thank you所以上句也可说:Thank you for helping me.
    (2)thank的形容词为thankful。“因……而感谢某人”也可以表达为:be thankful to sb. for sth. 如:[来源:学|科|网]
    I’m very thankful to you for your help. 我非常感谢你的帮助。
     
    13. at the end最后,终于(=in the end)
    He studied hard and in the end he got a good mark.
    他学习努力,最终取得好成绩。
    At the end,he found his wife. 最后,他找到了他的妻子。
    辨析:in the end,at last与finally
    (1)finally(adv. )一般指一系列事物或论点的顺序的最后一项内容,用在动词前,表示“等了好久才……”,无感情色彩。
    Finally,let’s do some exercises. 最后让我们做些练习吧。
    (2)at last往往表示经过一番努力或曲折的过程之后的“最后”的意思,有较浓的感情色彩。
    At last I reached the top of the mountain. 最后我到达了山顶。
    (3)in the end表示经过许多变化或周折,“最后”发生了。
    In the end he decided to leave. 最后他决定离开。
     
    14. neither与both是互为反义词。
    (1)adj. 两者都不,与单数名词连用,作主语时,谓语用单数。如:
    Neither answer is right. 两个答案都不对。
    (2)pron. 两者都不,常用作单数,与介词of连用。如:
    Neither of them knows me. 他们两个都不认识我。
    (3)adv. 也不,常构成neither+助词+主语句式。如:

    (4)短语:neither… nor… 既不……也不……。如:
    Neither I nor he knows it. 我和他都不知道。
     
    15. travel动词,意为“旅行,游历”。如:
    He will travel across a desert. 他将穿越沙漠旅行。
    We decide to travel to Beijing next year. 明年我们决定去北京旅行。
    travel旅游,旅行。指没有明确的方向性,有到各处旅行游历的意味。它的单数形式是泛指旅行这一行为或过程,而不指某一次具体的旅行。表示游历,游记时,常用复数。
    Travel is much cheaper than it used to be. 现在旅行比过去便宜多了。
     
    16. ask for请求,询问。如:
    He asked for a glass of water. 他要了一杯水。
    Has anyone asked for me at the office? 办公室有人要见我吗?
    Ask for trouble. 自找麻烦。
    ask…for 向……要某物。如:
    Why don’t you go and ask her for help? 你为什么不去找她帮忙?
     
    17. use…as… 把……当作……用。如:
    He is using his jacket as an umbrella. 他正拿着上衣当雨伞用。
    Lots of American use Chinese as their second language now.
    现在很多美国人把汉语作为他们的第二语言。
    (1)use…for… 把……当作……用,表示用途。如:
    A knife is used for cutting things. 刀子是用来切东西的。
    (2)use...by被……使用。用于被动语态,by后接动作的执行者。如:
    English is used by travelers and business people all over the world.
    世界各地的旅游者和商人都使用英语。
     
    18. hurt的用法
    作为及物动词,意思是“损害,伤害”,尤指肉体上或精神上的伤害。如:
    Don’t be afraid. I won’t hurt you. 别害怕,我不会伤害你的。

    What she said hurt me(my feelings). 她的话伤害了我。
    作为不及物动词,表示“疼痛”。如:
    Does your leg still hurt? 你的腿还疼吗?
    My shoes are too small and my feet hurt.
    我的鞋太小,我的脚疼。

    any一些,任何。any多用于否定或疑问句中,any在句中作主语、宾语、定语。any作定语时,它所修饰的名词没有单复数限制,一般多用复数,any用在肯定句中,表示“任何”。

    some一些,某些,某个。some多用在肯定句中,也可以用在表示邀请或者对方可能给予肯定回答的疑问句中。
    There are a lot of flowers in the garden. Some are white,which I like very much.
    花园里有许多花,一些是白色的,我特别喜欢。
    Will you have some coffee,please? 喝点咖啡吗?
    many许多。在句中作主语,定语。many在句中代替或修饰可数名词。
    Many of the students like English very much.
    许多学生非常喜欢英语。
    much许多。在句中作主语,宾语,定语。much在句中代替或修饰不可数名词。
    There is not much ink in the bottle.
    瓶子里没多少墨水了。
    a few,a little,few,little几个,一点儿,没几个,没多少。它们在句中作主语,宾语,定语,其中a few和few代替或修饰可数名词,a little和little代替或修饰不可数名词,它们表示少量,不多,几个,只是主观上的一种相对说法,并没有具体的数量标准。
