The cmputer is special because it is a children's ntebk. Its keybard is small, and the machine is strng enugh against being drpped. The ntebk als has a webcam (a vide camera) fr taking pictures and recrding vides. There's als built-in Wi-Fi t make it easy t cnnect t the Internet.
In the classrm, the ntebk has many functins. It can be used t take ntes and d hmewrk. Plus, students can draw pictures and create reprts. It is als an e-bk reader, and cmes with many bks pre-installed (预装). In fact, ne f its gals is t replace bks in schls with limited resurces.
The ntebk went int prductin in Nvember 2007. Teachers in places like Peru and Nigeria are already reprting a difference. They say children are mre excited abut learning. Yung schlars are als making new friends in ther cuntries ver the Internet. Children are even using the ntebks t teach their parents at hme.
Many experts see technlgy as a way fr the wrld's pr t imprve their lives. The OLPC's aim is t bring the “light f learning” int children's lives. Indeed, with tls like the ntebks in their hands, children are given a sense f hpe fr a brighter future.

A shrt while ag, I lst access t my WeChat accunt. I am nt sure why it wuldn't let me lg in;perhaps it was my ancient, ut-f-date phne. But I wasn't t upset because it ffered me an pprtunity t take a break frm scial media—smething mre and mre peple are ding.
In the United States, Twitter is lsing millins f users each mnth and Facebk has seen a 44 percent decline amng its yunger users. Sme f these users may have deserted Twitter and Facebk fr ther scial media platfrms, while many thers have quit because they felt that scial media was having a negative effect n their happiness and verall quality f life.

There is a chemical in yur brain knwn as dpamine (多巴胺) which is smetimes called the “reward mlecule” and its release gives yu a feeling f pleasure. I'm nt advcating that all f yu quit scial media, but spending less time n these platfrms des bring yu advantages. Yu culd start by leaving yur phne at hme when yu g t schl (Fr sme, that's already a schl rule). And it is als a gd idea t charge yur phne utside f yur bedrm at night, as yu are unlikely t get a gd night's sleep when the ntificatin (通知) bell keeps ringing.
Smeday I may recnnect t my WeChat accunt, but I'm nt in a hurry. Life can be mre relaxing and just as interesting withut it.
4.The authr's discnnectin frm WeChat is mentined at the beginning t .

7.What is the authr's attitude twards scial media?
A.T turn away frm them as sn as pssible.
B.T chse a scial media platfrm that suits yu.
C.T keep away frm them temprarily is a wise chice.
D.T quit them will make yur life mre relaxing and interesting.

As Internet users increasingly depend n the Internet t stre infrmatin, are peple remembering less? If yu knw yur cmputer will save infrmatin, why stre it in yur wn persnal memry, yur brain? Experts are wndering if the Internet is changing what we remember and hw.

Surprisingly, peple later remembered the flder lcatin better than the facts. When peple use the Internet, they d nt remember the infrmatin. Rather, they remember hw t find it. This is called “transactive memry (交互记忆)”.

Instead, cmputer users are develping strnger transactive memry;that is, peple are learning hw t rganize huge quantities f infrmatin s that they are able t access it at a later date. This desn't mean we are becming either mre r less intelligent, but there is n dubt that the way we use memry is changing.
8.What can we learn abut the first experiment?
A.Sparrw's team typed the infrmatin int a cmputer.
B.The tw grups remembered the infrmatin equally well.
C.The first grup did nt try t remember the infrmatin.
D.The secnd grup did nt understand the infrmatin.
    9.In transactive memry, peple .
    A.keep the infrmatin in mind
    B.change the quantity f infrmatin
    C.rganize infrmatin like a cmputer
D.remember hw t find the infrmatin
10.What is the effect f the Internet accrding t Sparrw's research?
    A.We are using memry differently.
    B.We are becming mre intelligent.
C.We have prer memries than befre.

故本句中可去掉 in或者把 that 改为 which。
4.第四句:have→had 根据时间状语 last week 可知,要用一般过去时,故把 have 改为 had。
    5.第五句:imprve→imprving或 f→t way f ding sth.和way t d sth.
8.第七句:were→was 主语是 watching the news and interviews n CCTV-9,是动名词短语作主语,谓语动词要用单数,故把were 改为 was。
