 蹦蹦跳跳的兔子是小朋友喜爱的，通过上学期学过的儿歌活学新单词，由此转入新语言知识点的学习，为学生打下铺垫，也为他们创设了良好的学习心境。

为复习的动词出示动名词，让学生对动名词有所感知，降低难度，有利于学生第一次尝试新语言点。

由体育明星刘翔的出现引入第一次综合运用，自由发挥介绍自己会干什么、喜欢干什么，使学生感到有话可说，鼓励学生有创新的表现。

对于学生来讲skate是个全新的单词，因此通过儿歌、师生、生生之间的操练来进行巩固、操练。

skip a rope / ride a bicycle之前出现过，让学生自己学习，提高他们的主观能动性。

熟悉的单词引入字母发音的教学，有利于学生对字母--发音建立起联系，便于记忆。
