    In this perid, the theme is “sprts and health”. Students will have a general understanding f hw t invite a friend t a sprts event and vice ne’s wn pinins abut sprtsmanship by listening and ultimately can frm a healthy lifestyle and gd attitudes twards sprts.


    Listening and Speaking intrduces the tpic f sprts events with psters advertising them, alng with related vcabulary and grammar, and is a warm-up fr the activities which fllws.


    Listening and Talking intrduces idea f sprtsmanship by listening t a cnversatin, matching speakers’ pinins and giving and discussing ne’s wn pinins.

    1. Instruct students t get main facts by listening and mtivate them t talk abut the tpics abut hw t invite a friend t a sprts event, vice ne’s wn pinins abut sprtsmanship by listening.


    2. Develp students’ sense f cperative learning and individual thinking capability.


    3. Develp students’ different listening skills t slve different listening cmprehensive prblems.

    Part 1: Listening and Speaking


    Lead in


    The teacher is advised t talk with their students abut sprts events.


    Bys and girls, lk at the psters n p36, what sprts events d yu like t watch? Which sprts wuld yu like t try? After their small talk, the teacher can mve n by finishing the fllwing listening task:


    Play cnversatin 1 which is abut Shen Qi’s main purpse fr talking t Amy and after finishing listening fr the first time, the students need t slve the fllwing tasks.

    After finishing the task abve, the teacher is expected t play cnversatin 2 which is abut Adam’s inviting Julie t a sprts event and after finishing listening, the students need t slve the fllwing task.
