    Period 1 (Section A 1a-2c) 设计说明 本节课通过谈论周末活动这一话题,引入本节课的重点句型“What do you usually do on weekends?”“How often do you...?”,利用多媒体图片展示本节课的单词和短语,然后通过看图回答问题、听力训练、自由交谈等充分操练本课时重点句型。教学过程中借助手势、动作、表情、实物、图片等为学生创设贴近教材内容的直观情景,充分调动学生的学习积极性。 教学目标 1. 知识目标: (1)掌握单词和短语:housework,hardly,ever,once,twice,Internet,program,hardly ever。 (2)掌握句型:“—What do you usually do on weekends? —I often go to the movies.” “—How often do you watch TV? —I watch TV every day.” 2. 能力目标:熟练掌握和使用频度副词。 3. 情感目标:通过谈论周末活动,引导学生养成合理安排周末时间的好习惯,培养学生关心他人的品质。 重点难点 1. 重点: (1)对频度副词的理解及运用。 (2)掌握常见课余活动的表达法及How often...? 句型。 2. 难点:理解和掌握频度副词在表述级别上的细微差别。 教学准备 教具:多媒体课件,录音机和磁带,一些常见的业余活动的图片,调查表格。 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up & Leading in T:Good morning,boys and girls! What do you usually do on weekends? S1:I usually help with housework. S2:I usually play games with my friends. S3:I usually go shopping. T:Do you usually watch TV on weekends? S4:No,I don’t. I usually read a book. ... Step 2 Presentation Let the students look at the screen to learn the new words and phrases:        use the Internet        exercise      go to the movies        play football     help with housework     read a book     watch TV         go shopping Step 3 Practice T:Please make a list of the weekend activities. Now please look at the picture in 1a. What do the people do on weekends? Ask a student to read his or her answers,and then check the answers together. Answers:1. help with housework 2. watch TV 3. exercise 4. read(a book) 5. go shopping Practice in pairs using the information in 1a. eg:—What do you usually do on weekends? —I usually help with housework/read a newspaper/go shopping/do exercise/watch TV. Let the students understand the meaning of these frequency words and get familiar with the weekend activities. 2. Work on 1b. Listen and write the activities next to the correct frequency words. 3. Have the students listen to the tape carefully twice and find out how often they do the activities on weekends. Then check the answers. Have the students read the tapescript after the tape and explain the meaning of these frequency words: Answers: always:exercise,read usually:watch TV often:help with housework sometimes:go shopping hardly ever:watch TV never:go shopping 4. Explain to the students the differences of the six frequency words by a diagram. Step 5 Pair work 1. Act out the conversation with the students. For example: A:What does he do on weekends? B:He usually watches TV. A:Does he go shopping? B:No,he never goes shopping. 2. Let the students talk about the picture in 1a in pairs. 3. Ask some pairs to practice their conversations in front of the class. 4. Weekend activities that my partners do 5. Work in pairs. And make a report in front of the class about the weekend activities that the partners do. Let the students pay attention to the position of the frequency words in the sentences. Step 6 Listening Work on 2a and 2b. 1. Let the students observe the picture in 2a,and help them to understand the content of the conversation by asking and answering questions. (1)What’s the boy’s name? (2)Is a man or a woman asking questions? What is his or her job? (3)What question is the reporter asking Cheng Tao? (4)What’s Cheng Tao’s answer? 2. Let the students read the words and phrases in the box. 3. Listen. Cheng Tao is talking about how often he does these activities. Number the activities [1-5] in the order you hear them. 4. Check the answers. Answers:a. 3 b. 1 c. 5 d. 4 e. 2 5. Listen again. Match the activities in 2a with how often Cheng Tao does them. 6. Check the answers. Answers: a. go to the movies:once a month b. watch TV:twice a week c. shop:twice a month d. exercise:three times a week e. read:every day 6. Check Learning Task 2 on the paper. (1)你多久运动一次? How often do you exercise? (2)你周末通常做什么? What do you usually do on weekends? (3)我经常去看电影。I often go to the movies. (4)我从来不去购物。I never go shopping. (5)我经常帮妈妈做家务。 I often help my mother do housework. (6)他几乎从不看电视。 He hardly ever watches TV. Step 7 Pair work 1. Have the students talk about what they do on weekends and how often they do something. For example: A:What do you do on weekends? B:I sometimes watch TV. A:How often do you watch TV? B:I watch TV twice a week. 2. After that fill in the chart in 2c/Learning Task 3. Then have some pairs act out their conversations. Step 8 Role-play 1. Let the students read the conversation and answer the questions. ①Is Claire free next week? Why? ②How often does Claire have dance lessons? How about her piano lessons? ③What kind of dance is Claire learning? 2. Learn the new words and some common expressions in daily life. For example:full,swing dance Are you free next week? How come? What kind of...? How about...? 3. Role-play conversation. Step 9 Cooperative inquiry 频度副词 1. 表示次数、频率的副词称为频度副词。常用的频度副词有:always,usually,often,sometimes,hardly ever,never等。always意为“总是”,表示动作的重复或状态的延续。usually意为“通常”,表示很少有例外。often意为“经常”,表示动作的重复,但不如usually那么频繁,中间有间断。sometimes意为“有时”,表示动作偶尔发生。hardly意为“几乎不,几乎没有”,常和ever连用表示强调。never意为“从不”。 2. 它们在频度上的差异可以这样表示: always (100%)>usually>often>sometimes>hardly ever>never (0%) 3. 频度副词的位置:通常放在情态动词、助动词或连系动词be之后,实义动词之前。 He is often late for school. (他上学经常迟到。) He never speaks Japanese. (他从不说日语。) 4. 对句中的频度副词提问,用how often。 She hardly ever watches TV on weekends. How often does she watch TV on weekends? Step 10 Summary In this period,we have learned: 1. New words and phrases:housework,hardly,ever,once,twice,Internet,program,hardly ever 2. Sentences:—What do you usually do on weekends? —I often go to the movies. —How often do you watch TV? —I watch TV every day. 3. Grammar:We have learned how to talk about how often you do things by using the adverbs of frequency. 当堂达标(见导学案“当堂达标”) 答案与解析: Ⅰ. 1. B once a week为固定短语,意为“一周一次”。 2. D nearly“几乎”;hard“努力地;坚硬的”;ever“曾经”;hardly“几乎不”。本句是一个so...that...句型,由主句句意“戴维对这个好消息感到如此激动”可知,从句句意为“以至于他几乎说不出话来”,因此选D。 3. D how many提问可数名词的数量;how much提问不可数名词的量或物品的价格;how long提问一段时间或物体的长度;提问“频率”用how often。由答句“一天两次”可知询问频率,故选D。 4. B 由后句句意“他喜欢网上冲浪”可推知“张阳几乎从不看电视”,故选B。 5.
