    Dear Sales Manager,
I am writing to complain about what one of your saleswomen has done. Last Sunday, I went to your store to look for a T-shirt. When I asked a saleswoman, Ms Wang, for help in finding my size, she told me that she was busy and said impolitely that if I couldn’t find one, it meant the store didn’t have it. I couldn’t stand it. Would you mind answering my questions?
    ●What is a saleswoman’s job?
●What quality should a saleswoman have?
●What do you think of Ms Wang’s behaviour?
●Do you care about a customer’s feeling? Why or why not?
I felt Ms. Wang was rude. I hope you deal with it seriously. I look forward to hearing from you soon and a more pleasant shopping experience at your store next time.
    Best wishes
    Cathy

During the Warring States Period(475—221 BC), King Zhao of the State of Yan wanted to get talented people to work for him. When he asked a scholar(有学问的人)named Guo Wei for some suggestions, Guo told him the story of buying horse bones(尸体)with 500 pieces of gold.
There was once a king who wanted a special kind of horse. This horse could run 1, 000 li a day. It was called Qianlima. He sent many people to find these horses and buy them for him. After three years, nobody found him such a horse.
One day, someone new volunteered to help. Within three months, he heard about a Qianlima. He rushed to find it, but the horse was already dead. Still, he bought the bones of the horse with 500 pieces of gold.
The king was very angry. “What I want is a live horse, not the bones of a dead horse!”
The man answered calmly, “Imagine this. You’re willing to pay a high price for a dead horse, let alone(更不必说)a live one. This shows people you truly wish to buy the horses. Just wait and the horses you want will come very soon.”
That was true. Within a year, many Qianlima owners brought their horses to the king.
Guo told the king that he could see himself as the bones of the horse. “If I am valued, more talented people will be willing to serve the state,” he said. The king built houses for Guo and treated him as a respected teacher. Soon, more talented people came to help the king and made the state strong.

Happiness is for everyone. You don’t need to care about those people who have beautiful houses with large gardens and swimming pools or those who have nice cars and a lot of money and so on. Why? Because those who have big houses may often feel lonely and those who have cars may want to walk on the country roads in their free time.
In fact, happiness is always around you if you put your heart into it. When you are in trouble at school, your friends will help you; when you study hard at your lessons, your parents are always taking good care of your life and your health; when you get success, your friends will say congratulations to you; when you do something wrong, people around you will help you to correct it. And when you do something good to others, you will feel happy, too. All these are your happiness. If you notice them, you can see that happiness is always around you.
Happiness is not the same as money. It is a feeling of your heart. When you are poor, you can also say you are very happy, because you have something else that can’t be bought with money.
When you meet with difficulties, you can say loudly you are very happy, because you have more chances to challenge yourself. So you cannot always say you are poor and you have bad luck. As the saying goes, life is like a revolving (旋转) door. When it closes, it also opens. If you take every chance you get, you can be a happy and lucky person.
    91.Happiness is for ________.
A.those who have large and beautiful houses B.those who have cars
    C.all people D.students
92.What will your friends say to you when you make great progress?

93.When you do something wrong, ________.
A.people around you will help you B.you will have no chance to challenge yourself
C.your classmates will laugh at you D.your friends will say congratulations to you
94.Why do we say “Happiness is not the same as money”? Because ________.
A.money always brings happiness B.money doesn’t always bring happiness
C.only rich people have happiness D.poor people don’t have happiness.
95.Which is the title of the passage?
A.Happiness B.Happy and Lucky C.Do Something Good to Others D.Unhappiness

An old man was sitting on the sofa with Mike, his 45-year-old son. Suddenly a dove landed on the ground.
The father asked his son, “What is this?”
The son replied, “It is a dove.”
After a few minutes, the father asked his son for the second time, “What is this?”
The son said, “Father, I have just told you. It’s a dove.”
After a short while, the old father asked his son for the third time, “What is this?”
This time Mike could not control his anger and shouted, “It’s a dove, a dove. Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again? I have told you so many times ‘IT IS A DOVE’. Don’t you understand this?”
The old man silently took out an old diary, turned to a page and showed it to Mike. Though a little impatient, Mike began to read it.
“Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a dove landed on the ground, and my son asked me what it was. I smiled at him, said it was a dove and hugged him. After a while Mike asked me again and I did the same. Pointing to the same dove, little Mike asked me what it was 23 times and I kept on replying to his question and hugging him every time.” Something gently touched Mike’s heart. His face turned red with shame for being so impatient with his father and he hugged him tightly.

Mothers love their children more than themselves, but they may express their love in different ways. An Australian mom, Natalie Bell, wanted to show her deep love for her 10-year-old daughter Shae.
As a mother, Natalie is always worried about Shae’s health and safety because of her condition — she is deaf and can’t receive an MRI (磁共振成像). This summer she did something with her worry. She created a special seat belt (安全带) cover for her daughter. It says, “I AM DEAF… NO MRI.” The message is clear and noticeable. “It’s the first thing you’ll see when you open that car door,” said Natalie.
“I always wonder what would happen if I was in a car accident with my daughter, and I was unable to let the doctors know that my daughter was not able to have an MRI… but now I don’t need to worry about that with these seat belt covers,” Natalie posted  on Facebook.
The special seat belt covers use Velcro (魔术贴) so they can be stuck on seat belts and something else, like schoolbags. After posting a photo of the covers not long ago, Natalie received thousands of requests for a similar seat belt cover. Now she has a business selling them to other parents. She is already planning to make them in different languages as well as different special needs.
Mothers will try their best to protect their children. Natalie proves (证明) it.
