    Knowledge objectives

    Grammar points:

    Comparative degree of polysyllabic adjectives;

    The formation of adverbs and the comparative degree of adverbs.

    Key sentences:

    Once we got lost in the mountains, and I hurt my leg badly.

    It is a bit dangerous/more dangerous to walk in the mountains, but I like the sport all the same.

    In the mornings and evenings, you can see people jogging in parks or along city streets.

    The more you go jogging, the healthier you will feel.

    Ability objectives

    ①Be able to summarize and consolidate the use of comparatives.

    ②Be able to use vocabulary and phrases correctly in this unit.

    ①Let students actively participate in communicative activities and speak English boldly.

    Let students pay attention to sports and develop good sports habits.

    Students can practise using adverbs after verbs and distinguish adverbs from adjectives.

    Students can discuss their favourite sports and learn to make a sports poster.

    1.Lead-in

    ①Teacher asks students to watch the video.

    Ask students to say the ball games mentioned in the video.

    2.Presentation

    Task 1 Grammar

    Teachers asks some students to summarize the grammar in this module.

    Teacher reviews and consolidates the grammar in this module.

    Task 2 Exercises

    ①Ask students to look at the pictures and talk about the sports.

    ②Ask students to complete the sentences with the correct form of the words in brackets.

    Ask students to complete the passage with the correct form of the words in brackets.

    Organize the students to check the answers in the whole class.

    Ask students to listen and choose the correct answer.

    Ask students to read the passage and complete the sentences.
