1)    Rick: Hello, Rick speaking.

【用法详解】当打电话要求Rick通话时，可说：

May I speak to Rick, please? 我找里克。

Is that Rick (speaking)? (你) 是里克吗？

当接听电话时，说“我是Rick”时，英语常用：

Rick speaking.

This is Rick (speaking).

It’s Rick (speaking).

2)    —How's it going? 近来可好？ —Not bad, thanks. 不错，谢谢。

How’s it going? 是英语中进行问候时的用语， 用于询问对方的近况或事情进展的情况，可译作“最近怎么样？”“一切还好吗？”。其后可接介词短语with sb./sth.

该句型的答语常用:Pretty good!相当不错! Great!很好! Not bad! 还不错!  Terrible!很糟糕!Just so so.一般般。

3)    Sounds like you're having a good time.

本句为省略句，相当于It sounds like you’re…。这种省略的用法十分口语化，在日常英语会话中可常听到。

It sounds like …与It sounds …句型近似，都表示“听起 来……；听上去……”。sound like意为“听起来像”，后接名词、 代词或句子。

玩得开心 have a good time = enjoy oneself=have fun

【运用】那听起来像是个好主意。________________________________

4)    Can I take a message for him?

本句情态动词can 相当于汉语中的“可以”、“能不能”，用于表达请求.

message n.信息；消息 （可数）

take a message意为“捎个口信”，后常与介词for搭配，构成：take a message for sb.“给某人捎个口信”。

send a message to sb./send sb. a message 给某人发信息

【运用】我可以坐在这吗？________________________________

  我可以给她捎个信吗？      ________________________________

5)    --Could you just tell him to call me back?--Sure, no problem.

本句could 相当于汉语中的“可以”、“能不能”，用于表达请求，  只是could 在语气上比can 更加委婉、客气。

problem n. 困难；难题

no problem常用于以下场合：

（1）用来表示乐于助人（本句用法）。

—Could you help me water the flowers? 你能帮我浇花吗？—No problem. 没问题。

（2）用来表达事情容易做，意为“没问题;不在话下”。

—Can you fix my bike? 你会修我的自行车吗？—No problem. 没问题。

（3）用来回应别人的感谢，意为“不用谢；别客气”。

—Thank you very much. 非常感谢你。—No problem. 不用谢

（4）用来回应对方的道歉，意为“没关系；没什么”。

—I’m sorry I’m late. 对不起，我迟到了。 —No problem. 没关系。
