英语中数词主要分为基数词和序数词两类。表示数目多少的数词就是基数词。英语中表示顺序的数词称为序数词。
基数词的构成1）1—12单独记： ne tw eleven twelve 2)13—19词尾为teen： thirteen furteen3）20，30，40等逢十的单词词尾为ty: twenty thirty 4) 21—99 在十位数和个位数之间加连字符构成： seventy-three 5)101—999 先说几百，再加and,再加末尾两位数（或末尾数）。178 ne hundred and seventy-eight
1. 其前有具体数字时，用单数。 There are tw thusand students in this schl.2. 当这些词不与具体数字连用，而是表示不确定的泛指数时，则其后要加s，后接介词f，然后再接名词。 Hundreds f peple cme t see ur play. It’s s great.
注意：hundred, thusand, millin的用法：
基数词变为序数词的规律：
1. ne—first, tw—secnd, three—third2. fur—furth, thirteen—thirteenth, 3. eight—eighth, nine—ninth 4. five—fifth, twelve—twelfth 5. twenty—twentieth, thirty—thirtieth, frty—frtieth6. twenty-ne—twenty-first, sixty-seven—sixty-seventh
基数词变序数词的规律：基变序,有规律,结尾加上th;一、二、三特殊记,结尾字母t,d,d;八加h,九去e,ve要用f替;单词ty作结尾,一定变y为ie;若是碰到几十几,只变个位就可以。
基数词的用法： 基数词在句中可用作主语、宾语、表语、定语和同位语。 The tw happily pened the bx. I want tw. There are thirty classrms in ur schl. My classmate is eighteen. We three will g there tgether.
序数词的用法： 序数词可以在句子中当主语、宾语、定语、表语。 The secnd is what I really need. He chse the secnd. We are carry ut the first plan. She is the secnd in ur class.
使用序数词时前面要加定冠词 the，但是，下面的情况不加the： 1．当序数词前有形容词性物主代词或名词所有格修饰时，序数词前不用the。 Mther was my first teacher in my life. 2．当表达分数时，序数词前不用the。 One fifth f the students here are frm the cuntry.
3．当表达“年月日”，书写时不加the，但是朗读时要加上the。He was brn n June 6th, 1974.4. 当表达再、又概念时，可在序数词前加aI want t try a secnd time.
