    三、完形填空
When we read bks we seem t enter a new wrld. This new wrld can be similar t the ne we are living in, r it can be very different. Sme stries are tld __15__ they were true. Real peple wh live in a nrmal wrld d real things. In ther wrds, the stries are abut peple just like us ding what we d. Other stries, such as the Harry Ptter bks, are nt __16__. They are characters and creatures that are very different frm us and d things that wuld be __17__ fr us.
But there is mre t bks and writing than this. If we think abut it, even realistic writing is nly __18__. Hw can we tell the difference between what is real and what is nt real? Fr example, when we read abut Harry Ptter, we __19__ seem t learn smething abut the real wrld. And when Harry studies magic at Hgwarts, he als learns mre abut his real life than __20__. Reading, like writing, is an actin. It is a way f __21__. When we read r write smething, we d much mre than simply lk at wrds n a page. We usde ur knwledge –which is real—and ur imaginatin—which is real in a different way—t make the wrds cme t life in ur minds.
Bth realism and fantasy use the imaginatin and the “magic” f reading and writing t make us think. When we read smething realistic, we have t imagine that the peple we are reading abut are just like us, even thugh we knw that we are real and they are nt, It sunds __22__, but it wrks. When we read, we fill in missing infrmatin and think abut the causes and effects f what a character des. We help the writer by pretending that what we read is like real life. In a way, we are writing the bk, t.
Mst f us prbably dn’t think abut what is ging n in ur __23__ when we are reading. We pick up a bk and lse __24__ in a gd stry, eager t find ut what will happen next. Knwing hw we feel when we read can help us becme better readers, and it will help us discver mre abut the real magic f bks.
    15. A. thatB. whatC. whetherD. as if
    16. A. realisticB. reasnable C. mralD. educatinal
    17. A. difficultB. impssibleC. imprtantD. necessary
    18. A. thinkableB. designedC. imaginedD. planned
    19. A. dB. makeC. have D. are
    20. A. lessnsB. dreamsC. experienceD. magic

Living and dealing with kids can be a tugh jb these days, but living and dealing with parents can be even tugher.
If I have learned anything in my 16 years, it is that cmmunicatin is very imprtant, bth when yu disagree and when yu get alng. With any relatinship,yu need t let the ther persn knw hw yu are feeling. If yu are nt able t cmmunicate, yur relatinship drifts apart. When yu are mad at yur parents r anyne else,nt talking t them desn’t slve anything.
Cmmunicatin begins with the cncerns (关心) f anther. It means that yu can’t just cme hme frm schl,g up t yur rm and talk t nbdy.Even if yu just say “Hi” and see hw their day is fr five minutes,it is better than nthing.
If yu lked up the wrd “cmmunicatin” in the dictinary,it wuld say “the exchange f ideas, cnveyance (传递) f infrmatin, crrespndence (通信),means f cmmunicatin;a letter r message”.T keep a gd relatinship,yu must keep the cmmunicatin strng.Let peple knw hw yu feel, even if it’s just by writing a nte.
When dealing with parents,yu always have t make them feel gd abut hw they are ding as parents. If yu are trying t make them see smething as yu see it,tell them that yu listen t what they have t say,but ask them plitely t listen t yu.Yelling r walking away nly makes the situatin wrse.
This is an example. One night,Sphie went t a street party with her friends. She knew she had t be hme by midnight after the firewrks.but they didn’t feel she culd just ask t g hme. That wuld be rude. After all, they had been nice enugh t take her alng with them.Needless t say,she was late getting hme.Her parents were mad at first, but when Sphie explained why she was late, they weren’t as mad and let the incident g.Cmmunicatin was the key factr here.If Sphie’s parents had nt been willing t listen,Sphie wuld have been in a lt f truble.
Cmmunicatin isn’t a ne-way deal.It ges bth ways.Just remember:if yu get int a situatin like Sphie’s,telling the ther persn hw yu feel --listening is the key factr t cmmunicatin.
    32. The main idea f the secnd paragraph is ______.

Naturally, the name change didn’t cause Debbie Lynne’s prfessinal achievement but it surely helped if nly by adding a bit f self-cnfidencet her talents.
