根据第一段中的“...she is cooking up a storm in her latest role—showing families how to prepare delicious and nutritious meals on a tight budget.”
根据第二段中的“...with the help of chef Matt Tebbutt offers top tips on how to reduce food waste...”
    B
A body image is the way a person views his or her body.It affects how a person “feels” about his or her body. For example, when not looking in a mirror, people have a sense of what their bodies look like.A positive body image is having a realistic and accepting view of your body. However, very few women have a positive body image.Society, dieting, eating disorders, and overweight are all related to a negative body image.
A century ago, full and curvaceous (曲线美的) bodies were admired. They were also more natural for women to keep.Nowadays, the best female body has a tiny waist, flat stomach, thin legs, and is very slim.Women are told to weight less than ever before.Supermodels are the new women’s idols. However, most of them are teenagers, and many of them have eating disorders or diet strictly.Trying to follow these standards is hard to most women. As a result, they starve themselves, or exercise—excessively (过度地), or both.
Most women who know the standard of beauty and body weight are dieting to reduce weight and change their figures.Eating disorders are not simply unhealthy diet habits; they are considered as mental illnesses and can sometimes end in death.Strict dieting or food restriction combined with a negative body image can become an eating disorder.
A negative body image can also lead to overweight. This is due to excessive eating to comfort bad feelings about their bodies. In addition, yo-yo dieting, which often follows a negative body image, leads to increasingly higher weights with each diet attempt.
A negative body image is bad for women.I may help them to see an advisor who is good at treating women with negative body images.Lastly, if society worked on encouraging healthy lifestyles and healthy looking bodies for women, a lot of good would come from it.
24.When people happily accept their bodies no matter how they look like, they .
A.eat a very healthy diet B.don’t know what a body image is
C.have a positive body image D.don’t have a sense of beauty
25.It can be inferred that most supermodels .
A.might be unhealthy B.know how to eat healthily
C.don’t like physical exercise D.set a good example to young girls
26.What’s the best title of the text?
A.Dieting Counts in Body Image B.Body Image—a Concern for Women
    C.Positive Body Image,Healthy Life D.Healthy Lifestyle,Healthy Body Image
A positive body image is having a realistic and accepting view of your body.
However, most of them are teenagers, and many of them have eating disorders or diet strictly. 故选A项。
    C
March 21 has been declared World Sleep Day,a time to recognize and celebrate the value of sleep. Many sleep experts hope it will be a wake-up call.
According to a poll (民意调查) by the National Sleep Foundation, nearly 4 in 5 Americans don’t get as much sleep as they should during the workweek. On average, adults are thought to need at least eight hours of sleep a night, although some can manage with less and some won’t do well without more. But the survey found that,on weekdays, only 21% of Americans actually get a full eight hours of sleep, and another 21% get less than six hours.
To many of us,the thought of spending more time sleeping is,well,a big yawn.On the other hand, the thought of being smarter, thinner, healthier and more cheerful has a certain appeal. And those are just a few of the advantages that can be ours if we consistently get enough sleep, researchers say. Also on the plus side:We’re likely to have better skin, better memories, better judgment, and,oh,yes, longer lives.
“When you lose even one hour of sleep for any reason,it influences your performance the next day,” says Dr.Alon Avidan, director of the UCLA Sleep Disorders Center.
A study published last year found the same to be true even of children. When kids aged 8 to 12 slept for just one hour less for four nights, they didn’t function as well during the day.
But sleeping has an image problem.“We see napping or sleeping as lazy,” says Jennifer Vriend,a clinical psychologist in Ottawa,Canada, and the leading author of the study with children.“We put so much emphasis on diet, nutrition and exercise.Sleep is in the back seat.In fact,”she adds,“no matter how much we work out,no matter how well we eat,we can’t be in top physical shape unless we also get plenty of sleep.”
27.The underlined part in Paragraph 1 means .
    A.waking up the sleepers B.drawing people’s attention
C.serving as a morning call D.declaring the special day
28.From Paragraph 3 we can infer that .
A.being healthier is one of the advantages for us
B.sleeping has nothing to do with one’s expectations
C.enough sleep is the guarantee of the appealing things
D.spending more time in sleeping is a waste of time
29.What Jennifer Vriend said in the last paragraph implies that .
A.people care little about sleeping B.sleeping is an image problem
C.lazy people tend to sleep long D.sleeping is only part of our life
30.What is the purpose of the passage?
A.To talk about people’s sleeping problems.
B.To provide an investigation result of sleeping.
C.To stress the function of sleeping at night.
D.To arouse the awareness of enough sleep.
On the other hand, the thought of being smarter, thinner, healthier and more cheerful has a certain appeal.
We put so much emphasis on diet, nutrition and exercise.Sleep is in the back seat.
A lack of sleep causes many medical conditions that greatly affect the quality of life. While no one knows why we sleep,it is a universal biological need.31.
How much sleep do I actually need?
A study in Finland found that the amount of sleep that relates to the fewest sick days was 7.63 hours a night for women and 7.76 hours for men.32. When we get sleep fewer than seven hours or our sleep often falls below six hours,we are at an increased risk of health problems.
    33.
Today, some people practice “polyphasic(一昼夜活动和休息多次的)sleep”,based on the idea that by dividing your sleep into parts, you can get away with less of it.Professor Dinges concludes it’s possible to train oneself to need less sleep in short periods.34. And he notes that even for those who can function well on less sleep,we still don’t know how the practice might be affecting chemical processes, mood, and other factors.
I can’t sleep. Is my phone really keeping me up?
When light enters your eye,it hits your retina to send signals to the hypothalamus (下丘脑),which controls sleep cycles. When your retina takes in less light, your hypothalamus assumes it’s time to sleep and it’ll signal the pineal gland (松果腺)to make you sleepy. And when the hypothalamus senses light,it tells the pineal gland to stop its work.35. Some research suggests that the light from phones and tablets are especially influential in human sleep cycles.
A.Adequate sleep can benefit us a lot.
B.Can I train myself to need less sleep?
C.How can I make myself sleep less?
D.No animal with a brain can survive without it.
E.This is why we’re told to minimize screen time before bed.
F.And most adults function best after seven to nine hours of sleep a night.
G.But he adds it doesn’t seem possible to train oneself to need less sleep per 24-hour cycle.
31.D 根据空前的内容,尤其是“While no one knows why we sleep,it is a universal biological need”可知,尽管没有人知道我们为什么要睡觉,但它是一种普遍的生理需要。
32.F 根据该部分小标题“How much sleep do I actually need”及空前的“A study in Finland found that the amount of sleep that relates to the fewest sick days was 7.63 hours a night for women and 7.76 hours for men”可知,空处内容应是与研究结果及睡眠的时长对人健康的影响有关的,故F项“而且大多数成年人晚上睡了七至九个小时后工作(表现)最好”符合语境。
根据该部分的内容,尤其是“some people practice ‘polyphasic(一昼夜活动和休息多次的)sleep’,based on the idea that by dividing your sleep into parts, you can get away with less of it.Professor Dinges concludes it’s possible to train oneself to need less sleep in short periods”可知,该部分主要讲的是人能否训练自己以使自己需要的睡眠更少,再结合文中另外两个小标题为问句可推知,B项符合语境。
34.G 根据语境可知,空处及空后一句与空前的“Professor Dinges concludes it’s possible to train oneself to need less sleep in short periods”之间存在意义上的转折,故G项“但是他补充道,在每24小时的循环中训练自己需要更少的睡眠似乎是不可能的”符合语境。G项中的“train oneself to need less sleep”与上文中的“train oneself to need less sleep”的对应关系亦是提示。
When your retina takes in less light, your hypothalamus assumes it’s time to sleep and it’ll signal the pineal gland (松果腺)to make you sleepy. And when the hypothalamus senses light,it tells the pineal gland to stop its work可知,当下丘脑感知到光时,它会提示松果腺停止工作,即停止输送使人瞌睡的信号,再结合下文中的“the light from phones and tablets are...”

make up意为“补上;和解;编造”;keep up意为“保持;继续;跟上”;turn up意为“出现”;fix up意为“安排;提供;修整”。

故选A项。
40.B 由设空处前的but trying very hard to become modernized可知,那些人努力在变得现代化,结果是被困在中间。be lost in意为“迷失在……;沉浸在……”;be stuck in意为“困在……”;be involved in意为“涉及;与……
They buy an iPad just they can afford to,and play the same games on a larger screen. 故选A项。
42.D 设空处后的they can afford to,and play the same games on a larger screen说明了他们买iPad的原因,因此应用because引导原因状语从句。
故选A项。
45.C 根据下文的she concentrated on completing the level可知,这位母亲在专心玩游戏。be tired of意为“厌倦……”;be good at意为“擅长……”;be focused on意为“集中精力于……”;be used to意为“习惯于……”。
故选A项。
47.B 根据语境以及下文的to get her mom to look at her可知,小女孩一直在跟妈妈说话以吸引她的注意(attention)。
故选A项。
故选A项。
Look at how the tables have turned now.

“if I tell you”是插入语。
故填is recorded。
“contrary to”后的宾语从句中,动词短语“think of”缺少宾语补足语,所以用what引导。故填what。
“classroom”通常与in搭配,sit in the classroom表示“坐在教室里”。故填in。

It was a beautiful morning.I was in the middle of a busy day, with my mind on what I had to do next.As I drove along a busy street.I noticed a young boy walking out from the entrance of an apartment complex(公寓群) on the other side of the street.
I couldn’t see beyond the entrance with trees and bushes shading it but I hoped that his family was there, about to appear behind him.The boy was young, maybe four years old,and it was a strange sight to see him alone near this busy street, even if just for a little while.I continued to look behind me but I didn’t see anyone else coming out to join him as cars ran swiftly past him. Then,I saw him turning around and running back toward the entrance.I smiled in relief,as I hoped that he was heading back towards his family.
Still,I felt I should check to be sure he was safe and did a U-turn as soon as I was able to.As I drove back to where I first saw him,I was expecting to see him safe, with his family around him.Instead,as I got closer,I saw that he had changed directions again, crossed the median(隔离带)and was quickly running in the opposite direction of the apartment buildings.I pulled my car over quickly and as I did so,all the cars on both sides of the street suddenly stopped as well,as if just realizing the potential danger of the situation.
I crossed the street and went up to him.He stopped as I approached, looking at me cautiously and backed away slightly towards the road.I didn’t want to scare him so I bent down a bit.Seeing a piece of paper in his hand,I asked him where his parents were and why he was there but he did not answer.Instead,he ran away from me along the median.

    Paragraph 2:
I saw his dad racing towards us and heard him calling out the boy’s name.

    One possible version:
At this point, a man in another car asked if I needed help and I said yes.The man got out of his car to help the boy. We stopped the cars on this busy street to reduce the dangers so that the boy could be safe when running on the street. In the meantime, I caught sight of the piece of paper in the boy’s hand, on which was his father’s address and phone number. Without hesitation, I made an immediate call to his father to tell what was happening now. The boy’s father said that he would come here as soon as possible.
I saw his dad racing towards us and heard him calling out the boy’s name. When hearing his father’s voice, the boy felt very happy and crossed the median to meet him. At last, the father and the son hugged tightly. We felt relieved. The father told us the reasons why the boy left the home alone. Soon the boy’s mother also came to the spot. They thanked us very much. And we were happy to see the family got reunited in the end.
