    Debbie Rhea, a researcher frm Texas Christian University, designed the prgram nw in place at Eagle Muntain Elementary, in which children have fur 15-minute recess (课间休息) perids thrughut the schl day. She heard abut the success f the Finnish schl system and decided t take a trip there t study it. When she returned, she began wrking with schls here in the U.S. t d smething similar.
    At Eagle Muntain Elementary, students nw get three times as much recess as they used t have; utdr time has been swelled frm 20 minutes t an hur each day. The prgram als fcuses n helping kids develp character instead f just test-taking skills.
    Since carrying ut the prgram, teachers are nticing that their students are mre attentive and less restless. They make mre eye cntact, have better test scres, and seem t be healthier and happier verall. They even need t sharpen their pencils less because they spend less time chewing (不停地啃) n them.
