1. This is Tony speaking.     我是托尼。

    — Who’s that (speaking)? 你是谁？(电话交流中提问)

     — This is Tom speaking.(电话交流中回答)

辨析：speak, tell, talk, say

Speak: “说话；讲话”speak to /with sb.“和某人说话”,

speak +语言，意为讲某种语言

Tell : “告诉；讲述”， 后接故事、谎言和实话等.

Talk： “说；谈话”， 指一般的谈话或交流，接宾语时，

与to, with, about。

Say：“讲；说话”，后面接说话的内容

例如：⑴. Li Lei can _______ English very well.

⑵. 我的朋友们说见到我很开心。

2. Are you getting ready for Spring Festival?

1） get ready for意为“为……作好准备”，其中for为  介词, 后面常跟名词或 v.-ing 形式。

例如：我们正在准备考试。    We are ____________________the test.

2） get ready to do sth. 可以和get ready for sth.进行互换。

例如： Susan __________   sleep.

= Susan is getting ready for sleeping.  苏珊准备睡觉了。

3. What’s happening? 发生了什么？

   ⑴  happen是不及物动词，意为“发生”。表示“发生某事”时

“某事”应该放在 happen前作主语，不能放在happen后 作宾语。

例如: What’s ______________in this playground?  这个操场发生什么了？

⑵ 某人发生了什么事情？What happened to sb?

例如:   —What   _________ to the man?  — A man was  lying on the road.

4. Is your father helping you?    你的爸爸正在帮你吗？

     help为及物动词，意为帮助。help sb (to) do sth/

     help sb with sth意为“帮助某人做某事”。

 例如. 贝蒂正在帮我制作灯笼。 Betty is helping me ____________lanterns.

例如：我经常帮助妈妈做家务。I often help my mother ________housework.

5. Hurry up! 赶紧（来吧）！

⑴ hurry up 意为赶紧，含有催促、命令之意

例如：⑴ 快点！没时间了。  _______ _____! There is no time left.

 ⑵ in a hurry意为“匆忙地”上周日，比尔匆忙地去购物了。

 ⑶hurry to do sth 匆忙的去做某事
