教学目标： At the end of the class, the students will be able to: 1. summarize the passive voice with the modal verbs. 2. learn to use the grammar properly. 3. learn some foreign cultures and learn to make rules.
教学重点： 1. Key vocabulary: community,chance, educate, manage, society... keep away from, make one’s own decision,encourage sb. to do sth.,continue to do... 2. Key sentences: a. I don't think 16-year-olds should be allowed to drive. b. Do you think teenagers should be encouraged to make their own decisions? c. Teenagers should not be allowed to have part-time jobs. d. Do you think we may be allowed to take photos if we don't use a flash? 3. Structure: modal verbs+be+past participle
教学难点： Learn to use the passive voice: should/may/can/must be+ V(ed).

Step 1 Lead-in (PPT 3-9)		Guide Ss to review the phrases of last class. 2. Ask Ss to have a free talk about school and family rules. What can you do at school? What can’t you do at school? Do you agree or disagree? 3. Make Ss read the sentences and lead to grammar.				复习上节课所学的重点短语, 通过讨论、观察句子导入本课时的语法。
Step 2 Presentation (PPT 10-20)		1. Show Grammar Focus to Ss and explain the passive voice with should/may/can/must. 2. Make Ss read the sentences and learn different sentence patterns of the passive voice with modal verbs. 3. Practice the grammar. 4. Change the active voice into the passive voice.				解释情态动词被动语态的陈述句、否定句、特殊疑问句、一般疑问句以及肯定否定回答。出示Grammar Focus，后练习各种句型变化。让学生总结该用法。
Step 3 Practice (PPT 21-24)		Work on 4a,4b. 1. Ask Ss to read the sentences first and make sure they know the meaning. Then make them rewrite the sentences according to the example. 2. Check answers. Read the sentences. 3. Have Ss read the passage first, then fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words in brackets. 3. Check answers. Read the passage in 4b.				利用所学的被动语态用法，完成4a和4b，并阅读这些句子和短文，熟练掌握用法。
Step 4 Pair work (PPT 25-27)		Work on 4c. 1. First ask Ss to read the instruction in 4c. You and your friend are starting an English Club.Make a list of rules about what should and should not be allowed. 2. Make Ss read the Sample Dialogue and pay attention to the underlined parts. A: Members should be allowed to use dictionaries. B: Yes, but they should only use English-English dictionaries. 3. Work in pairs and talk about the rules. 4. Call some pairs to present in class.				学习语法后, 设计一个分角色表演的对话，学生通过口语练习进一步巩固情态动词的被动语态的用法。
