Kang Jian is a 17-year-ld student frm Shanghai. Last year he went t visit his aunt and uncle in San Francisc. He fund it interesting that s many prducts in the lcal shps were made in China. “I wanted t buy a ty car fr my cusin, but even thugh mst f the tys were American brands, they were made in China.”
Tys are nt the nly things made in China. “I wanted t buy a pair f basketball shes,” he explains. “But I had t visit five r six stres befre finding a pair made in America!” He realized that Americans can hardly avid buying prducts made in China. “In fact,” he cntinues, “there are many ther things there made in China — ftballs, handbags, pet fd, mbile phnes. Even American flags are made in China!”
