Giant pandas don't eat meat, do they? Actually, they do occasionally. One wild giant panda was recently caught on camera chewing on the bones of a dead takin.

This panda was filmed at the Foping National Nature Reserve in Shaanxi Province. Researchers saw it while they were trying lo find out the number of wild giant pandas in the area. The meat-eating panda enjoyed the special food for about ten minutes. Afterwards, it let go of the bones and walked slowly back into the woods.

According to the researchers, this wasn't the first time they had seen a giant panda eating meal. What does this behaviour mean? Scientists said they would need more time to do further research on it.
