Step 1　Leading in

T: Class, Please stand up. Hello, class.

Ss: Hello, Mr …

T: Good morning, class.

Ss: Good morning, Mr …

T: Please sit down.

Ss: Thank you.

T: Let’s review the words.

Students read the words.

Step 2　Listen, read and act

1. Listen and read the conversation in Activity 1.

2. Get the class to act it out in pairs.

Step 3　Listen and do

1. Listen and repeat.

Get the students to listen to the recording and repeat. At the same time, get the students to do as they listen.

2. Listen again and do.

(1) Get the students to do as the teacher’s instructions.

(2) Get one student to come to the front of the class and say the instructions; others do as his/her instructions.

(3) Get one student to do the instructions and get another to say them.

Step 4　Match

1. Put up...  a) ...your book.
2. Open...  b) ...down.
3. Stand...  c) ...up.
